A small measure of relief....
My cousin Ron is still in ICU, but they were able to stop the internal bleeding, and he is breathing on his own.
Ron was the passenger in the car that killed his brother, but wound up with many injuries that will take a while to recover from fully.
Collapsed lung
Broken ribs
Broken sternum
Internal bleeding
Many soft tissue injuries
To me, it seems most of his injuries were probably caused by the airbag, but I cannot imagine the extent of his injuries had it not held him in place as the car rolled over multiple times. THAT is how hard and how fast the drunk driver hit the car.
Scott had no chance, not even with a nurse seeing the accident and performing CPR
