homemade Soft Maple PattyCakes from a little gift shop in Luray Virginia....When I say soft maple, I don't mean the kind that's shaped like maple leaves and are so hard they chip your teeth. These were little round pattycakes that came with or without pecans almost the texture of fudge.

And very soft, warm donuts smothered in maple icing..... I can't find maple donuts anywhere! Even at Krispy Kreme! *pout* In Pennsylvania, it was a shame that a shop called Maple Donuts didn't actually have any Maple Donuts! SHAME ON THEM!
