Frédéric Chopin was an Polish virtuoso pianist of what's now commonly known as The Romantic era: Born in 1810 in Żelazowa Wola (Central Poland, Warsaw), Chopin fled to live in France, due to a forced political emigration during 1831. During his coming of time, Poland was yet to be formally recognized as an European state. Chopin died during the year of 1849, in France, where he resided since 1831 (I think).
