Just started a series that's free during Black History Month for Amazon Prime members:
Black History, Black Freedom, and Black Love. It's produced by
MasterClass. The speakers are: Jelani Cobb, Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw, Angela Davis, Nikole Hannah-Jones, Sherrilyn Ifill, John McWhorter, Cornell West.
Black History, Black Freedom, and Black Love covers over 400 years of American history within its 54 lessons and 10-plus hours. It contextualizes thoughts of race and racism, discusses gaps in traditional education in U.S. history, and challenges these obstacles while offering tools and techniques to empower change in our own lives.
I had thought about signing up for this series at MasterClass.com when I heard about it last year, but not at the $15.00 a month (billed annually!) subscription fee. So glad MasterClass and Amazon are offering this at no cost even if it is for a limited time.
