I came across THE best programmer joke I've ever encountered in a YouTube comment the other day:

Why do programmers confuse Halloween and Christmas?





Because Oct31 = Dec25



(For non-programmers: the joke concerns modulo arthimetic. In number base 8, 31 = 3 times 8 + 1 which is what in decimal is 25. It used to be quiet common for programmers to have to deal with base 8 and base 16 as well as "normal" decimal numbers in base 10))
