HA!!!

I always think of the newcastle greeting to a girl "ah'up me duck!" and because the female is interchangable duck/hen the scottish "hen" as a term of female endearment (which I love)... and of course working class english female is a "bird" (which I think was taken in point from the queer feminine club "Bird Club" in London. 'Dashwood' I think may have taken the name co-joined with that).
