Amongst her inventions werean improved traffic light, tablets to turn a glass of water into a carbonated drink, more efficient wings for Howard Hughes' aircraft, and a frequency-hopping system for radio-controlled torpedos during WW2. This latter design was not implemented by the US Navy at the time, but an improved version was in 1962, during the Cuban missile crisis.
