My cat did something the other day that made me realize that she was not my pet, that I was her pet. But when I think about it, she did adopt me. She used to hang around the front porch and I would put food out for her. Then she would hang out in the house for 10 minutes or so, look around, then stand by the door to be let out again. Finally, one day, she came in and never left. She adopted me. It took her about 4 visits before she made up her mind though lol. I should be insulted.
