That just ...rubbed me the wrong way....

New York Yankees $$ 206,738,389

Boston Red Sox $$ 160,913,333

Philadelphia Phillies $$ 142,728,379

Texas Rangers $$ 55,168,114
{which, btw,has individual salaries}
I'll just put the Highest..

1 Michael Young $13,174,974
2 Cliff Lee $9,000,000
3 Jorge Cantu $6,000,000
4 Vladimir Guerrero $5,500,000
5 Jeff Francoeur $5,000,000
6 Bengie Molina $4,500,000
7 Ian Kinsler $4,200,000

My point?....
Every Team tries to "buy" their way to the World Series...
Every Team worth their salt has a ball player on a mind-boggling payroll, some Teams are more Expensive.
That the Yankees can afford "the best"{alongside Boston}, is not their Perpetually accused Fault.
That "The best" didn't actually Do their best this year? Regrettable, but..There's always next year..So, enjoy it while it lasts..
And yes, they used to be Rangers..Imagine that? Such so-called "lacking" players were once Rangers.

What tickles me pink is, while we're butting heads over "anyone but the yankees"
Those teamplayers, rivals and all on the Field, have a Blast with their Salaries, together in a hedonistic Party of wild abandon.

Enjoy your world series...
