There is a book I found helpful with that very thing. It would bring me joy to share that info with you. (gotta keep the title of the thread in mind, right? lol)

It's called, Forgive and forget. Healing the hurts we don't deserve. By Lewis B. Smedes. There are points in the book that are a little "God geared". If that's not a manner of thinking for you, I know you're a smart cookie and can apply the words to yourself in a manner that is. Anyway, It helped me.

I would offer to send it to you but, I loaned it out and never got it back. (yes I have forgiven them! lol.)
