I got up early on this rainy day to take the dogs for a hike before work...

Not long after getting there, I saw a large bird fly up into the trees ahead.

I picked up tiny 7lb Bitsy thinking it was a hawk. When we got under the tree where the bird was it flew up and I could see that it was actually an owl!

I was so darn excited! I hadn’t seen an owl in years. I started making “who cooks for you” calls since I’m certain it was a great horned. But it never answered. Still, VERY cool beans!
