LOL - It does look creepy but actually at one time it was a place where nuns provided prosthetic limbs/other medical devices for patients. Which could still be kind of creepy I suppose depending on why and how it was that some people found themselves in need of prosthetic limbs, built up shoes, braces and stuff as well as the behavior, temperament, belief systems of the nuns involved and the individuals who controlled those nuns.

Who knows, the way those nuns used to whirl those rulers about, perhaps they severed many a limbs so kept "replacement parts" just in case
