Earlier this summer, I was looking for a gift for a friend. At Toys R Us I inquired as to where they kept the Erector Sets. This very nice early 20s girls thought for a minute and said "I've never heard of that." I fought with myself and my better side won, so I didn't strangle her then and there.
I start to describe what I'm looking for thinking maybe the name has changed. She finally got the idea and directed me to an aisle. There isn't a brand name "Erector Set" anymore. And they're way more complicated than that used to be. And for reasons I don't understand I can't get the picture inserted here.

Have no picture or certain name, but...
Anyone remember space sticks? (they were out during early 1960s. It was supposed to be the same food that astronauts ate while in space and they were GROSS. |
