Omfg! I just re-connected with the most fabulous gay man on the planet after 25 years. We worked in a medical clinic together in the military and I can honestly say that was the best time of my life.
Turns out he's not living that far from me either!
This year is turning around very nicely.

this is the cabin we are renting starting sunday in Gatlinburg, TN.
I cannot wait to get outta here and into the woods where there's nothing around cept solitude!
oh, and.........mountains, trees, the river..... and the hot tub on the back deck

SuperKiba does not like when the lawn care people are outside. He especially doesn't like the sound of the weed whacker thing.

So, he just dragged his blankie here into the office, and is now on top of it, looking up at me.

It made me smile while going, "awwwww, it's ok."

I thought of back home and Boys Town came to mind. The movie was shot there and Spencer Tracy's oscar (1938) for playing Father Flanagan is there in the museum. One of the most impressive things the restoration of Flanagan's house restored to the 1930s.

His office has the desk that first boys at Boys Town made him in the 30s. Gorgeous inlaid wood without one nail. It was made with dowels and I'd give anything to have a desk like that.
