i feel rested but stressed as we had an emergency surgery last nite, her retina detached 1/4 of the way and a 4:30 eye appointment turned into a 9pm surgery
the surgery was 1 hour and i drove around the hospital trying to figure out where the patient pick up was after hours, i finally decided to park at the patient pick up area and go get food as neither of us had eaten since lunch after picking up food i made it back to the waiting room just in time to see the dr and he said everything went well now she has to sit in a special torture chair for at least one week maybe two oh and she cannot drive for 8 weeks

Tired and hungry...
Today is my first day back to work after a horrendous bout with a head cold that tried to meander to my chest. Mucinex is awesome for avoiding such things, but Lord, it makes me feel all tuckered out

I am not so quick to say I love someone, especially straight guy friends, but I had just started saying it back to him that last week. He was only 50. He wasn't supposed to go before I did. We had so many things going--I was helping him do some marketing and designing some new stuff for his restaurant. I wanted to create an outdoor cartoonish statue of him, like the old Bob's Big Boy character. I had just showed him the cartoon roughs and he was into them. We were inventing new menu items for his place. I had just talked him out of being a "Colorado Republican." He was going to vote a straight Democratic ticket next month for the first time, ever. And now he's gone. I wish I could unscrew my head for a month and just stop the political headaches and worries, and now this pain. |

Thursday at my doctors appointment I received both a flu shot and a pneumonia shot. While I really didn't feel I had an adverse reaction to either, for some reason I just felt out of it all day Friday. |
