Day? seeing my daughter graduate from college with her teaching degree! Adventure? the day I put on a strap on Book? the reader Event? the family christmas Exercise? I will keep that to myself.... Experience? my hiatal hernia surgery where I found out I had a collapsed lung Hobby? Day? The day I began testosterone  Adventure? Beginning My journey to becoming Matthew Book? Didn't read much, if at all, this year but I loved getting every issue of Weight Watchers magazine and reading all the wonderful articles  Event? Getting My *T* prescription and getting My first shot Exercise? I didn't do much of that lol Experience? Coming out as FTM, finally being able to be Myself Hobby? Getting more into My cross-stitch Idea? Didn't have many of those this year, atleast not any that lead to anything productive Lesson? To be Myself, no matter what ~ I can't keep living for everyone else, I *HAVE* to live for Me or I wont be happy Love? Had what I thought was true love but lost it - things happen Meal? 2010 memories...
Day..wow lets see..hummm.The day my son told me he was geting his master mechanics licence,im really proud of him.For myself,the day I won my first league pool game.im dyslic so anything with lines,curves and angles can be a chalenge. Adventure.No real adventre last year,maybe this year. Book.The last Templar..Its a book about what ppl beleave or not and if we found out it wasnt true,would you have the depth of true humanity to keep it to yourself no mater what you may gain for the sake of so many. Event.Going back to work in a feild I left 40yrs ago. Exersise?As much as I can.I have a lot of equipment..I should look lile a body builder..not. Experence..Geting to know a fue femms hear at the planet..they rock. Hobby.Playing pool and joining a league team..lots of fun. Idea.Wow a tough one cause this last year has been about reclameing me and my life the way I am happy with. Lesson..Im ok just the way I am. Love.I have talked to and pm'd a fue sweet ladies hear at the planet..made some fine freinds as well. Meal.Cobbs bbq,a hole in the wall place that has been hear forever..yummm. Memorie?Looking at family pics and remembering the good times when life was much simpler. Movie..Avatar Song...An oldie but goodie...Thank you for being a friend. Show..Servivor, hands down. Best thing that happend to me in 2010..Going back to work,it saved my sanity. Worst thing ...finaly comeing to the realisation I was going to have to let the docs do what they can for my back in juries. What did I do for my self this year?Got rid of some mental baggage,quit smokeing,got rid of the toxic ppl in my life. 3 things I was reluctant to do but did anyway.I broke some old habbits that were not good for me(ciggies)..got up of my lasy ass and took charge of liveing right...its was easy to just sit and do nada..let go of some bad feelings that had been hanging round. What would I change about myself in 2011..Be more open to ppl,live life with more vigor..take more chanches...the right kind of corse. 3 things I was reluctant to do,but want to do in 2011..Make more friends,take more and better care of me,maybe meet someone who will take a chanch on an old bachelor set in his ways. |

Day? 4am August 20th Adventure? Voodoo Festival Book? The Dragon's Apprentice Event? The REUNION...Hands Down! Exercise? The roman chair thingie Experience? Falling in love at first sight for the second time in my life. Hobby? Music with The Boy Idea? An idea? Wow...Deciding to go to Voodoo Festival I guess. Lesson? To let The Boy enjoy music festivals however he wants, as long as we're together it's all good. Love? Finally meeting Dixielady in person. Meal? The fried green tomatoes with crawfish etouffe sauce appetizer in N'awlins. Memory? Bourbon Street on Halloween Night Movie? Man...what did I watch last year....hmmmm Oh yeah! Alice in Wonderland Song? Little Lion Man - Mumford and Sons TV Show? Wizards of Waverly Place or Phineas and Ferb, it'd have to be a toss up. The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was... Day? The day we got in the car and just drove to Woodstock. Adventure? Going to Tampa for a long weekend to see my daughter--a mini-vacation by myself. Book? Water for Elephants, among others. Event? Melissa's and Vicki's wedding. Exercise? Walking the dog on our weekends away. Experience? The privilege of meeting with some of my elderly clients. Hobby? Planning and cooking healthier meals. Idea? What was my favorite in 2010 .......
Day? The day our kitchen and addition were finally completed in August and seeing the beautiful outcome. Adventure? Ha, living with me is an adventure all in itself, Just ask my other half…Heh Book? “Not Without Hope” by Nick Schuyler Event? 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Exercise? Ugh…Yes trying to get motivated to be good in 2011 (not working so far as I’m tossing back chocolates and cookies we still have here at work). A ton of our Vendors sent us major stash! Experience? Depends on what the experience is being referred to…But, as always, everyday life is an experience. Hobby? Music and cooking. Idea? If I told you, it wouldn’t be “my” idea anymore, now would it? Lesson? Hefty lesson learned: Don’t drive 86 in a 65 mph. A Statie pulled me over a few months back and he issued a ticket for $210 which means major points on my insurance for the next 3 – 7 years. What a prick and it was my first ever ticket offense. This state is always looking for money and yeah I know I’m guilty, but still. Maybe he got upset when I accidentally referred to him as Ma’am instead of Sir when he was reading me the riot act…No lie, it was an honest mistake! Love? Definitely. Meal? 2010 Christmas Eve (Ginzo style) I cooked my ass off and enjoyed every minute of it. Memory? The look on our faces when we saw the finished product of our combo engagement/wedding rings. They’re absolutely gorgeous. Bling, bling baby… ;o) Movie? Avatar Song? Bound To You (Christina Aguilera) TV Show? Boardwalk Empire Series (HBO) The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was... Out of the blue, at the dinner table, I said “I think it’s time we get married”. Her response with those wide green/blue eyes “REALLY”???!!! I think she was shocked to hear me finally say it, probably thinking OMG finally! I know, I know, but remember, good things come to those who wait. Not the way I envisioned it happening, since I’m the romantic type and wanted it to be special, but…It’s definitely time and well overdo (being 8 years we’ve been together)…or I should say “I Do”…. The worst thing that happened to me in 2010 was... When my mom wasn’t doing so well with her rollercoaster health and in the hospital for a couple of months. Oer the Summer the doctors wanted to have the “talk” with my brother and I about what her wishes would be. That took a major toll on me in 2010. Thankfully, she pulled through and is still with us even though she’s continuing battling with her health. What did I do for myself this year? Being true to myself and feeling ready for marriage. What are three things I was reluctant to do, but did them anyway? 1) In the process of appealing a speeding ticket (even though I know I’m guilty, but taking a shot at it, since it’s been my ONLY ticket ever in all of my driving history) (Hoping they’re a little lenient, but I don’t think that will happen) Court date is in a few weeks) (2) Invited my forever Eeyore ho-hum sibling to my home for Thanksgiving and (3)Telling the family my lovely lady and I are planning on getting married. If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be? Stop trying to take the weight of the world on my shoulders and fix everything and everyone. If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be? To take better care of my health and focus on what matters. What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011? 1) Obey speed limits (give or take a few miles over the limit) but not go 20 miles over the limit, 2) Consider going back to physical therapy, 3) To take advantage of any good opportunity when it/they come my way. What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011? 1) Stick to a healthy regiment, 2) Control my junk food appetite and 3) Try and I mean “TRY” to control my Road Rage, especially when my honey is in my vehicle. What was my favorite in 2010!
Day? : The 1-year anniversary of the Planet. Such a proud feeling to see how the community righted itself and came together to be reborn bigger and better. Adventure? : Every day of 2010 has been an adventure. Not kidding. This has been the fastest-paced year of my life and I'm loving every minute of it. Book?: Believe it or not, "Exquisite Corpse" by Poppy Brite was my fave. It's about 2 Gay cannibalistic necrophiliacs. It wasn't so much the story but more that this book reminded me how much I love a good piece of fiction. Event? Reunion 2010 by far. In a word: Amazing. Exercise? Does power-cleaning count? Experience?: Having so many houseguests this year that we love. Finally being in a home where we have enough room to actually have guests has been pretty amazing. Hobby? : Learning new tech stuff which has entailed countless hours of reading and surfing (both, other favorite hobbies of mine!) Idea? : Not telling yet  Lesson?: That making excuses for people's bad behavior does not help them. That usually when you get a whole bunch of different stories that don't make sense, that it usually means that the other person can't keep their bullshit strait, not that you have a bad memory. Love? : The love of friends, family, our beloved Gracie, and most of all - myself. Meal? : Relearning how to love cooking at home - Mission accomplished! Memory? : Walking down to the Meet and Greet at the Reunion, hand in hand with Jack and seeing a whooooole lot of people we love hugging and mingling. Movie? : Didn't see any movies that totally stand out but got totally hooked on "Hoarders". Song? : "I Gotta Feeling" - Blackeyed Peas TV Show? : "Hoarders" again! The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was: Celebrating a year in our first home together, celebrating a year on the Planet, Celebrating a year at my job. The worst thing that happened to me in 2010 was: Dealing with outside insanity. What did I do for myself this year?: Recommitted to personal writing and projects. What are three things I was reluctant to do, but did them anyway?: Worked a fuckload of hours at my job Purged the hell out of the office and closets Donated some of my favorite clothing items to the FemmeSwap (it was worth it!) If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be? : I plan work harder on eating healthy and maintaining healthy boundaries. If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be? : My group at work would suddenly gain 2 new employees to take the load off of all of us! What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011? I will devote more time to creative pursuits. I will completely organize my office. I will do that thing Im doing that Im not talking about. What are three things I was reluctant to do, but want to do in 2011? Im not crazy about going for my pap and breast exam but Im going (Goddamit!) Im also not crazy about having more dental work done, but Im going (DAMMIT!) Im seriously not interested in clearing more of our land, lest I find snakes but it needs to be done and Im going to lend a hand. (DAMMIT!)

Get those exams!! I missed about 4-5 years in a row and then finally went and got a pap and had a bad result which led to surgery, and then a required 4 paps in one year. I had to get one every three months. Seriously not fun. Ok, not trying to put you off here but they can seriously save you a lot of problems. I'm fine now and have had two years of clear paps and I'm back to one a year again. Melissa |

Day? My Nieces Wedding Adventure? Road trip with April (Hot-not) To the Little Rock Reunion Book? I didn’t have a favorite Event? The First Butch Femme Planet Reunion in Little Rock. Day? September 1 Adventure? Conquering my irrational fear, twice, with the same person supporting me. Book? The only stuff I have read this year has been for work, except The Secret Garden. Event? Work retreat this summer Exercise? Chasing one of my kid client's down the street, does that count? Experience? In February, was the first time that I was the one who ended the relationship. Rather liberating. Hobby? Poker. Idea? Re-arrange my living room furniture, makes a huge difference (got some help with this idea though) Lesson? What was my favorite in 2010 .......
Day? A visit with my mom. Adventure? Camping on Cumberland Island. Book? Leo Buscaglia's Love Cookbook Event? Doing makeup for Cirque Exercise? Zumba Experience? I was invited to speak at a feminist clinic on self esteem. Lots of tears and laughter with this group. I LOVED IT!!!! Hobby? Playing piano and hangin' in jacuzzi. Idea? Decided to let go of my yard peeps to save money. Turned out to be great excercise. Lesson? Liking someone doesn't necessarily mean they should be a part of my life. Love? Freedom Meal? Anything cheesy. Throw some Alfredo on a boot, I'll eat it. Memory? Great times with my dad even though the Dementia is taking it's toll. Movie? Let Me In Song? Not a lot of new stuff I like, but I played the hell out of Voices by Disturbed. TV Show? Supernatural and True Blood. The best thing that happened to me in 2010 was... Inviting new friends into my life. The worst thing that happened to me in 2010 was... Watching Dementia engulf my dad. What did I do for myself this year? Sticking to a budget and eating healthier foods. What are three things I was reluctant to do, but did them anyway? Cut down on my shopping, caffiene and work load. If I could change one thing about myself in 2011, what would it be? Be more patient when dealing with work staff. If I could change one thing about my life in 2011, what would it be? Spend more time outdoors. What are three things I WILL change or do differently in 2011? Won't be so wasteful with money, won't work so hard that I NEVER have time for my loved ones and I won't put of exercising.
