The city of love and just exceptional building design as had a peace of its heart ripped out tonight.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the relatives of those who have been brutally murdered.
May they rest in peace.
They will not be forgotten.

I've returned home tonight to find this sad news on the tv. I can't believe anyone would do such a thing, but then again I do. I feel so badly for those in France tonight. My heart is heavy tonight for those that have been murdered and the survivors as well as the families and friends. I just wish the world was a better place than this.

Pleased to report that my son's girlfriends family: mother, father and sister who reside 3 blocks from the theater, are all safe!

I have no idea what it will take to rid the world of these people who kill so many in the name of religion. I haven't found in any bible or religious book ever that is for the love of mankind or the betterment of the world, in there name would ever allow this. It takes a warped evil person or persons to do this. I pray for the people of France, may justice come on swift wings to the evil that has come to our world.

I hope everyone around the world will use due diligence for awareness of their surroundings and "if you see or hear something say something" until we gain control of this terror.

I was sitting in front of the TV when I realized what was going on. I called my family, and everyone was crying. It's hard to explain why we, people so far away, are so upset. In reality, it's because it was once us. We had 9/11, and the lives we lost will forever be a reason to feel sorrow and empathy for others. What hit me hardest was watching people sitting in the street, crying, holding people who were wounded or hurt. I was in lower Alabama after Katrina hit New Orleans, close enough to watch the news about people being stranded and not knowing what to do or where to go. It was a similar feelings watching the aftermath of Paris and knowing they felt the same. I pray they find some peace.

While I don't think Hilary Clinton is the answer, I appreciate that someone with her media coverage talks about the effect terrorist actions have on unassiciated vulnerable people, -- particularly Middle East refugees.

National borders protected by state armies is a relatively new phenomenon (in Europe particularly) and when one looks at the 20th century, clearly it wasn't good idea. It seems humanity needs grotesque convulsions to change. How I wish that would change, considering all our new to technologies for communication.
