Interesting, if also obvious.

I wish the writer had included a sentence or two about the lesbian community specifically, about how around the early 1980s it also became okay for lesbians to have hot and horny sex (or at least, admit it). I thought she was going to get there with the paragraph above about "feminism's third wave". I came out around the end of the second wave and very beginning of the third wave, and it seemed to me that the two communities had very different approaches to what was considered "okay" and "acceptable" sex. Second-wave feminists always seemed very touchy-feely in an emotional way to me, while third-wave feminists were more enthusiastic, like, "let's get it on!" and "all adult, consensual sexual expression is okay and good!"

Hallmark changed their mind and will allow Zola's ad to run.

The United States Department of Agriculture touted last week what it calls the "modernization" of rules regulating how swine is processed and inspected, but critics say the changes could lead to more food contamination. It's the first time in more than 50 years that significant changes have been made to pork processing rules, but they've been in the works since 1997. That's when the USDA started a pilot program among select plants to see how changes to processing and inspection rules would play out.

The agency says the changes won't negatively impact food safety, but critics say the rules, which include the option of using fewer federal inspectors on the production line, could lead to contamination from pathogens like Salmonella and E. Coli, and ultimately, more food-borne illnesses.

The Trump administration will allow pork plants to reduce the number of Department of Agriculture line inspectors assigned to them and run their slaughter lines without any speed limit under a new rule intended to modernize an antiquated inspection system. But the changes have alarmed consumer advocates who believe the rule will make food less safe and endanger workers.

The new rule will let factory workers, rather than USDA inspectors, remove unsuitable carcasses and trim defects in plants that opt into the new inspection system. USDA inspectors will still examine the carcasses, but they will be stationed farther down the line, and off-line inspectors will be roaming the factory to conduct other kinds of safety checks.“This regulatory change allows us to ensure food safety while eliminating outdated rules and allowing for companies to innovate,” Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said in a statement.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican from Alaska, said she was disturbed to hear Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell say there would be "total coordination" between the White House and the Senate over the upcoming presidential impeachment trial.

“And in fairness, when I heard that I was disturbed,” Murkowski told KTUU Tuesday before saying there should be distance between the White House and the Senate in how the trial is conducted.

unfortunately they are going to take their revenge out on our armed forces as well as all Americans and prob. devastate Israel. seems Trump was punishing the democrats by not consulting w/ democratic congress in the decision he made on the attack. Soleimani needed to be taken down or out . I'm a bit taken back as to why Trump didn't consult congress or was it an action strike while the Americans had the chance. God Bless our soldiers and Americans and Israelians.
