Its crazy! But one good turn deserves another. I think it would be fitting for DHS to spearhead charges of child neglect. And take away any other kids those worthless people have. But not on the grounds of failing to properly supervise their kids. But for moving into a house that is within a 1 mile radius of a swimming pool, when their children have not been given swimming lessons. And for allowing their children to swim when no life guard was present! You wanna be ignorant? 2 can play at that game. Ha

Did you know according to the national highway safety council , 52% of all fatality accidents were not wearing a seat belt. That means 48 percent were wearing one ! That means the odds are the same with or without a seat belt! Yet they felt those odds should justify imposing mandatory seatbelt laws. The commericals, click it or ticket. Seat belts save lives! I just watched a special on tv last night about a young teenage girl that was having an argument with her bf, threatened to wreck her car, etc. She crossed the center lane at a high speed and smashed into another vehicle killing a pregnant woman and her son. The teenage girl couldn't recall the accident and was eventually sentenced to prison time. The teenager's family attempted to sue the other family for an exuberant amount of money. Eventually they dropped the case, but can you believe the nerve.

Let's not forget the law that may be put into effect since the Casey Anthony case. I mean since when do we need a law to remind us that if our child has been missing for a month that we must notify authorities. *eye roll*

This warning came with one of those things you put in water and it soaks it up and gets really big. (Weird enough that this one was shaped like a lobster.):

The magic lobster is not for eating. It is for the observation and enjoyment of the swelling.

Most likely, someone accidentally squirted themselves in the eye. That's why there are sometimes warnings to point the product away from you to use.

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
Why the early bird gets the worm;
Life isn't always fair;
And Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 -year- old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Tylenol, sun lotion or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

I don't even know where to put this.

There is a blurb on Huffington Post about the fact that 500 prisoners (some described as "senior Al Qaeda members") apparently escaped from Abu Ghraib prison today amidst some kind of "assault" (their words) from insurgents.

And a shitload of people got killed in the process.

For those who don't know or remember the significance of Abu Ghraib prison? That's the prison where our American soldiers took dehumanizing and disgusting photos of prisoners (pissing on them and nude dogpiles) that when discovered, helped fuel HUGE resentment toward America.

And yes, this is a huge oversimplification.

But what fucks with my head? Is that the HEADLINE today is Kate Middleton having a fucking baby.

I am not even amazed anymore at what the news orgs will place value on when reporting but this is just gross to me.

Anyway, I just needed to vent.
