We all do what we can! Today, I got in 6300 steps but it's been raining nearly all day so that's really good since I've been trapped inside for most of it.

7698, (gonna walk out to the balcony for those 2 more steps, lol)
That was almost 4 miles!

But what was I thinking? At 11:30 am it was 81°
Wee bit of a sunburn and it was way to hot!

I walked three miles yesterday.

I joined Planet Fitness on January 31st but never visited. I finally changed that. I went and got my card and scheduled an appointment with a trainer to set up a routine. I need something besides walking.

I have lost 21.2 pounds since September 16th. This is the lowest I've weighed in 20+ years. I am pretty excited about it. With each little accomplishment I feel like I gain the motivation to keep going forward.

I have also been trying to eat better. I have cut out pop and decreased carbs. Baby steps!

Nov. 5th I was sick but I did go to work (new job and all) so I got 4000 steps.

On Nov. 6th I felt all better (Hallelujah!) and got 8K.

Today I got 7.6K.

I can't find my fitbit at the moment, so I'm using my phone, and I don't get as many steps with my phone because I don't always have it on me.

I will need to track down my fitbit...

3.9 miles =8184 steps in super cold temps! 43° and dropping.

Next time there will be mittens and a scarf!

Yup, mittens and a scarf will help with the cold, and what about the sounds of footsteps behind you from a creature like this to help pick up the steps?

I played with power tools, 24 and 36 inch bolt cutters, a wrench, a hammer, some lubricant and now my arms and shoulders are killing me. I also got in 5200 steps so far, which is good considering I was trapped inside all day with the rain and snow showers.

We're looking to hit 17 tonight. If it does, it will be a new record low!

Some catching up:

Nov. 8th=8.3K steps
9th=2.9K steps
11th=2.8K steps
12th=9K steps

I found my Fitbit but now it's broken and I just recently got it, so I'm still using my iphone. Ugh!

Well, I do like my drill a whole lot. I can do without the grinder but the drill....so versatile! And far less dangerous. We shredded a brand new blade in the grinder in less than 5 minutes. Boo.

If you like power tools, you'll dig this. I'm going to pick up an orbital sander and sand the Hell out of a cabinet and some drawers. Friday's going to be 50 degrees! So, I'll pick the sander up tomorrow, read some directions to make sure I won't kill myself using it and then sand the cabinet so I can finish cleaning it up and get it in the apartment. Until it's inside, I can't put my car in the garage and we've already had snow showers. Last year, we got dumped on bad November 15th. I don't like this whole 'snow in November' thing. I much prefer the one dump for the end of the year and then kicking it into gear again in January.

So, we did break a record. Two, actually. One for the low temp for last night. We beat the record by one degree and we beat the record for the high today. We beat it by 5 degrees and it's literally the lowest temperature for this day in history here. That's kind of cool.....freezing, actually....but I digress....

I've gotten 7200 steps in so far today and 222,031 steps for the last month as of this very moment. That would be more impressive if I weren't stuffing my face with Holiday Mix Skittles.

haha Gemme... i love it when you talk dirty to me. drool at the tools. Did i ever mention I am a union trained carpenter. The only reason I am switching careers is because the work is more steady...and I still do remodeling work on a small job per small job level. Totally would have gone into a remodeling business but couldn't find others with the same work ethic. The men always loved tapping out on a jobsite accident to collect the money.

but i digress. I had lots and LOTs of nice toys... but now I have only about a third of the tools I lost.. we shall see what the future holds on that front..

but.... keep talkin tools and this might end in a marriage proposal!

I also say...if you want a good arm and shoulder workout.. try sanding drywall..both vertically AND over head. You will DEFINITELY sleep that night

Nope. That's all yours. I was in a car accident many, many years ago so the overhead reach is not what it used to be.

How are you at putting down luxury vinyl flooring? lol I spend a good portion of each week drooling over flooring options and want to change out this disgusting carpet but am hesitant about taking on that type of a home improvement project myself. I think I could do the middle and most of the floor if I do the click installation but I have a lot of doorways and there's a section that will bump up against tile that's higher than the carpet and I doubt my ability to adequately navigate those challenges. If I do glue down installation, which I would prefer given the ease of replacing a damaged plank once it's all down versus the click installation product, then I'd be nervous the whole way 'round because of the adhesive and leveling of the flooring. Any time you find yourself heading up to RI, let me know and I'll find projects for you. We could always rent the big tools from Home Depot.

So, I managed to tweak the left muscle underneath my rib cage in the back. Not sure how, but I remember it being towards the end of my work day yesterday. Last night was solidly uncomfortable in every way. Today's a little bit better but I truly cannot wait until it's relaxed and is fine again. It makes pulling my seat belt forward to secure very, very challenging.

I just got up, so not a lot of steps on the pedometer yet. I've logged a hair under 700 so far and there's going to be a lot more today. I have a ton of errands, which will help me get the steps in, but I am dreading the whole seat belt drama thing. Ugh.

Well, things are bit crazy on my end. Lots of big tools and projects, but I am taking the roll of project manager and letting others have the tool fun. I have been being pretty good about scheduling around my walk times instead of the other way 'round although a few days get lost.

The tides have been good right at the end of the day and I find that when I get home well after dark I'm kind of done for the day and am remiss about posting.

For averages it looks like on contractor days where I'm not on the beach it runs around 7K-10K steps, 20k-ish for beach days and in the last week I've had 3 days over 25K!

My week average Nov 6-12 was 22k and my month average Oct 14-Nov 13 has been 14.9k.

I think I like this way of looking at as a person who easily gets kind of obsessive about tracking things it's good to step back and look at the bigger picture. Overall I'm pretty happy with my current levels.

I got over 5500 steps in running my errands today! A big portion of that was me hunting down an associate in Home Depot.

Ugh.

*kneads side*
is this my first of many honey do lists?? lol that's IF i make it to RI
What is the going rate out there??
