Copied and bookmarked, thanks. I'm aiming to start T in January. Glad to see non-discrimination laws here in Atlanta.

My friend Tony started the Jim Collins Foundation and has been doing a great job of getting it going. The aim of the foundation is to raise money so that transfolks who can't afford surgery can be helped. He has been doing all sorts of fund raisers in Southern New England and the NYC area.

They are just getting started so I don't know when they will be able to help anyone with their surgery finances, but it's a good group of people to get involved with. Tony is really good at organizing and getting things done so I have no doubt that the Jim Collins Foundation will grow and grow.

Does any of you guys know of a good doctor in or near Norwood Mass. My friend is looking for a trans friendly doctor. He's in transition right now and his doctor is not very helpful or understanding.

Thanks

Hey Organic!

I don't personally know of any doctors in MA, but here is a link that might help your friend. He will need to click on the Resources tab for a list of health care providers.

Trans-spectrum Hawaii

Trans-Spectrum Hawaii is a group that provides information, support, resources, networking, and a safe space for social activities in Hawaii for individuals who were assigned “female” at birth, but identify with belonging somewhere on the transgender spectrum.

Such self-identifications within this gender spectrum may include, but are not limited to: FTMs, FTXs/FTNFs, transsexual men, transmen, tranny boys, bois, studs, butches, genderqueers, intersex individuals, other transgender/gender-variant guys, or gender-questioning guys (whether transitioning or not). We also welcome their partners, family, and friends (SOFFAs).

I didn't see this info anywhere yet, so here it is. The standards of care have been changed. If your having trouble getting proper treatment you need a copy in hand.

Anyone have resource guide for General Healthcare, specifically Wellness Care
and Specialists who are LGBT-friendly?
I am in Mid-Atlantic/ Philly area.
Finding this info is like pulling teeth (ridiculous in this day and age).

NOTE: NOT looking for HCP'S who specialize in transitioning.

Here you go, Joe. Although this center does provide medical transitioning services, the purpose of the center is for general care for all LGBT people.
