Lunch out was a fantastic BLT (toasted whole grain bread, rosemary mayo, tomatoes, organic thick bacon, arugula, with shoestring fries) with a pint of Southampton white beer and an espresso to finish...it is a new place in my Brooklyn neighborhood called "Broken English")....very, very nice!

The most amazing lunch: at L'Orange Bleue in Soho, arugula greens very well dressed in a Dijon mustard vinaigrette, hanger steak rare - and miracle of miracles, really rare - sliced on a bed of very hot sautéed garlic yukon gold potatoes, with a garnish of onion marmelade, and tapenade laced with harissa! It was perfection! I had a pastis beforehand, and an espresso afterwards, and felt well fortified for an afternoon of shopping!

If you are ever in Pittsburgh, and up for some awesome dining/lunching/brunching, you must must must go to Casbah in Shadyside. Amazing quality of food, service and the prize wasn't bad at all! Here's what I had for my brunchy/lunchy

2 of the best bloody mary's I have EVER IN MY FREAKING LIFE had
fruit and cheese starter with manchego (aged at least 8 years), a wonderful truffle tremor and langres.

The main dish was two very large, pan-seared, delightful sea scallops, with a house made chorizo, asparagus, caramelized onions, scrambled eggs, white corn grits, croissant.

Everything was done to absolute perfection. The BEST scrambled eggs and the grits were laden with creme fresh.

My mouth was doing the happiest dance of its life.

As always, my brunching company was wonderful and full of comedic stories and regalia. I was supposed to have a guest join me, it's a shame he couldn't make it because he really missed out!

My Brunch was an awesome Strata that my Love made that had Maple Bacon and Maple sausage, apples and sourdough bread....its like a breakfast bread pudding and I inhaled it...its going on our rotation list of things to def make again....lol

Champagne Brunch! Complete with mimosas and berry sangria and a string quartet! It was a "Mother's Day" brunch (a few days late but still such a sweet thing to do!) and I loved it! :rrose:

Update!

Ebon had a spicy tuna roll and a Philadelphia roll with miso soup. I had a California roll and a new roll called an Orgasm roll with a house salad.

Now, I tried not to get my hopes up, but the name is intriguing. Sadly, I did not have an orgasm while eating the roll, but it was really good and I will probably get it again.

Tried Trader Joe's frozen falafel in whole wheat pita with tahini sauce and chopped tomatoes, cucumber, and lots of parsley from my deck! Loved it! Had a Blue Moon with that.
The frozen falafels were tasty and light, I just baked them to warm them up for about 10 minutes (I don't use a microwave), and presto! Easy, quick lunch! They also sell their own tahini sauce, but I always make mine.
