Saturday - didn't feel like doing anything so lazed about reading, doing puzzles and surfing. After dinner my sister and I had a Jason Bourne movie marathon while we knit.
Sunday - went shopping with my sister. We had to exchange a pair of jeans my nephew bought, she got an outfit for work and I got some picture frames. Got some groceries. A slight detour on the way home - I wanted to stop and check out a restaurant a friend wants to go to - it is closed for the season but my sister and I had a nice walk around the park where the restaurant is located. (I'll try put pics up on my Flickr later). Then home for a light dinner and knitting while watching Love Actually.

My insomnia is bugging me again - I was alright during the week but not falling asleep until 3am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, of course, I didn't wake up until around 11am or noon. (At least I was well rested!)
So - my weekend plans were all shot to hell. Saturday afternoon I knitted for a bit. Then my sister wanted to go for a walk in Queenston. We went over there and followed the (well marked) battlefield trail - we took our time and I took lots of pics - maybe an hour to an hour and a half of walking and climbing stairs along a hill side. The weather was gorgeous. Hopefully I will post some pics at Fllickr or at FB.
Afterwards we had dinner, drove around Niagara Falls. Then home to watch the hockey game.
Sunday was another late start for me. After my late breakfast we went to see Unstoppable. It was a very good movie! We walked around the mall a bit, stopped and picked up some groceries and then home. I edited the pics I took the day before, made some phone calls and watched a bit of tv.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to fall asleep until almost 4am.

Worked mostly . Only exciting thing we did was hang some new lamps in the bedroom. We is tired
Went to see a high school production of Grease (w/genders of the girl/guy groups reversed--didn't work, IMO).

pretty much a veg. weekend which I needed.

I was a veggie this weekend too. I have almost completed the Holiday Greeting Card for the Planet! Oh what a surprise and looking forward to it.
I watched the breakup with Jennifer Aniston. I bought it several months ago. I would have watched it sooner had I known there was a butt shot of her. Looking good Jennifer!
I sat outside with Tom Tom; a stray that I have been feeding and doctoring for over a year. He finally is tame enough that all the neighbors are now feeding and talking to him. He looks really good.
Talked with several dear friends on the phone this weeked. Oh I did three hours of volunteer work playing hostess at the one and only art museum. I actually sold two items from the gift shop; packages of watercolor holiday prints. Brian was so excited; he is the manger.
Well after putting all this down it wasn't quite the veggie weekend that I first thought.

Let's see, my friend joitoi and I rode to Gaffney, SC to pick up some bottled Cheerwines, hit the Prime Outlet mall there and did some shopping (new boxerbriefs and socks for me, woohoo), some Yankee Candles, boots and night vision goggles (her motorcycle) for her, went to Harry and David's to get some snacks, went to Wilsons Leather just to smell the leather and check out some coats. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel, headed home and stopped at the DQ for some chocolate softserve. Sunday I had lunch with my parents, brothers, and my little nephew, drove him to meet his mommy. Then I backed the Fatboy out and took a little ride, met another friend at the coffee shop in Monroe, stopped in town for a few minutes, sat on my bike and watched some of the Christmas parade then headed on out to the country roads for a little ride, came home and did some work.

Saturday I went to a friend's place - he made a nice crock pot soup for dinner. Then we went to a birthday party for his friend. Home kind of early but we stayed up talking and having a few beers.
Sunday I was up early so I took the furbaby for a walk. After a late breakfast my friend and I headed to Ikea to pick up candles, stopped for a coffee, then caught the train into Toronto. Went to the MLS Cup game. Home just before midnight. A bowl of soup and a sandwich, a nice chat and then off to bed around 2am.
Whew! Such late nights when we hang out!

On Saturday we loaded up the furbabies and went down to visit my Mama for her birthday. We took her out to lunch at the new Mexican restaurant in town that she had been wanting to try. Always good to spend time with the Mama, she ADORES Miss Pink! No surprise there! On Sunday we went to our first ever cyclocross race. I raced my bike in the beginner's class with Miss Pink and MountainBikeDyke cheering me on! MTB had a case of the crud and didn't get to race this one, but we have plans to race again next month. Sunday is our cheat day for eating so we chowed down on big ole greasy burgers, fries, onion rings and a banana shake..I did MOST of the chowing!! Then a quiet evening chillin' out at home with the furbabies and getting our respective stuff in piles for the coming week. All in all a VERY enjoyable weekend!!

Well lets see :)
Thursday Night Thanksgiving Night I spent the night at my best friend and her gf's house dog sitting with my baby boy Simon... She called me Friday and asked if I wanted to on Friday Night too and I said yes... So, I woke up Saturday morning and they came in and we all spent the afternoon and night together... Eating Pizza and watching movies. And they were telling me about their weddding in July and honeymoon... They wanted me to stay Saturday night and go to church with them on Sunday but I came home and Sunday just slept most of the day and then got up and cleaned house... I always love spending time with my good friends because its refreshing to see so much love, and see how they just "fit" together. I can only hope that I could click like that with someone :) All in all it was a great weekend

After Thanksgiving dinner we packaged up individual Turkey dinners and went around the area giving food, blankets and cash to those less fortunate than ourselves. The girls (Amy and school friend)felt good and had something to think about, and we were able to share the abundance of our lives. I think we have happened upon a brand new family tradition.
The rest of the weekend was spent at a lovely resort in Palm Springs, where we had a really relaxing time.

Met some fabulous people (Betenoire, and her hubby, Nick, and ABb!) for great conversation, laughter, and new friendship.

Not to mention you get 10-15% discounts on all kinds of things like hotels, restaurants and stuff when you show your AAA card. And you can get maps for anywhere free. Add to the security of knowing help is just a phone call away makes it well worth the small yearly fee. I love me some AAA.

Morningstar I hope you are okay and that everything falls into place. Funerals and moves can be challenging. My thoughts are with you.
Saturday I ran errands and went for drinks. Sunday I had two patients and then a meeting to attend. Slipped all over the roads, was thankful for my heated seats and was grateful for warm slippers.

Missed work on Friday due to the icey conditions on the roads , we had 800 accidents that morning In Houston. Blaze made it to work but was sent home @noon. Pretty much the whole city shut down.
Saturday....was pretty cool . Blaze decided to go look at trucks and left with a new truck, hmmm. very unexpected. it's a beauty!
Also, got to meet Jen and Bill of the learning channel, The little people. They came to me for grooming, so I got to groom both there dogs , Rocky and Maggie. They are such a sweet, sweet couple, Jen is very very tiny.....seriously.
Sunday went to one of my favorite markets in town, which happens to have the best bakery in town hands down , then went out to eat at Aloha Grill which has great Hawaiian food , .Then to our friend's house for superbowl.. it was a good superbowl .I think.

i was off work, nice to have a weekend off.. yayness!
last night i went out for drinks with my 2 cousins which i grew up with but haven't seen in years.. we've decided this whole too busy for stuff is over and we're making time from now on..
so we went to East Side Mario's, had a drink and dinner, and i ordered a daquiri for my drink.. when it came, it was HUGE.. and needless to say i sucked it back fast and it hit me like a ton of bricks.. very rare i drink even lol!!!
and apparently, i was entertaining, go figure =)
seriously though, we had a good time. was nice to get out, went to the coffee shop afterwards and gabbed our faces off..
my daughter had a friend over yesterday for the day.. and saturday we made nachos and hung out around the house, since my son had to work..
all in all, great weekend, great friends, wonderful conversation, lots of quality time♥, time with loved ones.. perfect ♥

This past weekend, not much. I worked and continued collecting small bits of furniture to add to our new place. Now, this coming weekend, we're moving so that's going to be exciting and and rough and sweaty.
I need to buy a bed set.

It was a holiday weekend here - Monday was Family Day.
Friday afternoon my sister and I visited our brother for a bit. Then we went to see our SIL. A nice quiet weekend - until it snowed!
Headed home this morning - a stop to visit a cousin. Then some yarn shopping, lunch in a nice little tourist town. Stopped by the casino - I was pretty lucky - for a change!
Just got home a little while ago. Ready to hit the sack - dead tired.

Saturday worked all day and Saturday night worked on soap
Sunday went to the mall and had lunch out , worked a few hours late afternoon than worked on easter soap ,
.So I pretty much worked!! I so need a vacation pretty soon .
On Saturday, we took my daughter and her friend to see "Beastly" and then out to dinner. Yesterday, we hung at home and tried to get to a few things--laundry, de-cluttering, cleaning the kitchen. I spent too much time on the computer, looking at stuff and ordering things for the wedding. From the comfort of my chair, I ordered shoes, jewelry, and placecards.

I went to see the local production of the Boys Next Door with my sister. Well written and well performed. Took an uncomfortable subject for the main stream population (MR/DD) and made in comfortable. Using comedy as an effective and yet sensitive educational tool, the audience was brought into the lives of the 4 group home residences and the people in their lives.

Took dog for a walk and then into town to meet up with friends. Back home around 10 to watch NCAA. Up until 5am talking, drinking and smoking cigars.
Sunday - late morning! Walked dog. Did some laundry. Homeward bound around 4. My sister got her income tax return so she got pizza for dinner. Watched Celebrity Apprentice. Surfed and played games on FB.

Friday evening ~ we worked on the raised flower bed, planted more flowers, ordered a pizza & sipped a couple beers on the deck.
Saturday ~ got my hair done, D & I met up with Durrrrrrrr for lunch and a lil' shopping, and had a couple of friends over for dinner.
Sunday ~ took my mom to lunch & the movies to see HOP, and spent the rest of the day relaxing with my honey.
Man, no wonder the weekends seem to fly by!

Friday: helped my sister design a "Thank You" card for her son's former principal. (Just a pic of her son at his current co-op job. Picture printed on construction paper. Paper was then cut to size, folded and voila! a card. Then we dug around in the crafty stuff for lettering and decorations).
Saturday: read, worked on Easter crafty stuff, went into Toronto for my bff's birthday dinner. Got home after midnight.
Sunday: read, surfed, went for a walk in this gorgeous weather, organizing stuff around apartment. Watched tv - it seems I'm addicted to A&E's "Hoarding."

Saturday, several folks went with Pup to deliver the Easter baskets (50 of them!) to a local nursing home and took along four dogs for some pet therapy. I cooked some brunch and then we hit the pool for the first time this year! Still a little chilly, but it won't be long!
Sunday, had a pretty laid back day, took a nap, and just had a lazy afternoon!

Sunday, I picked up my mom & dad to bring them to Easter lunch at Cracker Barrel... yep, their favorite. Dropped my dad off so he could take a nap, and did a lil' shopping with my mom at Big Lots. Busy, crazy, productive and annoying weekend....but the best part was seeing the Rooster come through the doorway Sunday morning and giving him (embarassing) hugs in the airport. He spent spring break with his father and grandparents in NY...and I left for training in AZ before he did...so it was two weeks not seeing him (the longest stretch since he was born).

Morning coffee enjoyed in a rocking chair on a front porch...my idea of heaven!

PERFECT weather......and I was outside almost the entire weekend.
I got alot of sun and consequently sunburn. I was wearing spf 30 but that wasn't enough. I had on *really good* sunglasses Saturday, and woke up sunday with these little puffy sacks underneath my eyes.
But I am stubborn, and relentless. I went to the baseball game (tailgate brunch first) I had on an UGLY (by my standards hat), sunglasses again and even zinc oxide to the point that it looked like war paint (I'm past worrying about what people think of me. Much more heat and sun
After the game, I took a shower and went to bed (at 6 oclock) I wasn't feeling spiffy. Woke up this morning and my eyes are almost swollen shut.
SERIOUSLY! I think I have some sun poisoning.......(and I don't know how that happened). I placed a call to my PC and am doing the cucumber thing again. It's not like I haven't seen any sun this summmer yet.
Maybe I'm reacting to the sunscreen?

Miss Pinky and I went for a 16 mile bike ride on Saturday, then went to see the new X-Men movie; it ROCKED! On Sunday Miss Pinky had volunteer work at church for the entire morning, so I went for what was supposed to be a 30 mile bike ride. It wound up being nearly 49 miles and boy howdy, it was HOT out there. An early evening rain shower cooled things down a bit, so we went to the library, then to Baskin Robbins for sundaes, which we enjoyed at an outside table. It was a wonderful weekend.

My PCP said I am Dehydrated. I look like space martian and feel like crap.
Take motrin. Drink pedialyte (sp) and lay in the tub with cool water and cool towels laying on my skin. Stay out of the sun. OK, I got that!
Forget the pedialyte....(ever taste that?) I have gatorade. I asked him how I became dehydrated.....I loved this part he said Drinking in the sun will do that to you. I wasn't drinking anything but water.:|...then he changed his tune to, well sometimes it happens. He said I could go to the ER and get an
IV bag of liquids and that would help me feel better (to which I thought, yeah help the hospital feel better too$$$).

I went to the movies Friday night with my son-we saw "X-Men." I LOVE that series. The movie was good-I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes that movie series. The background info was really interesting and there is a hilarious cameo by someone from the previous films.
Saturday, he went to his grandmother's house and I started getting ready for the event at my dungeon. I met up with a few select friends prior to the event so we could have dinner (tradition). Then, we headed over for an education demo that I got to bottom for. The presenter was teaching on how to take your scenes to the next level using energy. My time bottoming was mostly spent making lists on the whiteboard and reading from a passage about living in the moment. (Ahh the glam life of a demo bottom). Following the class, I helped with paperwork and club duties THEN I got to partake in a cutting scene. Now, I have a new pretty cutting to match my old pretty cutting---yay! (Anyone who wants to see a pic, let me know & I will text you one). Once it was over, I chatted with friends for a bit then cleaned the dungeon's kitchen and left-but it was after 2 when I got in.
Soooo----
Sunday, I was lazy as Hell and slept/dozed most of the day. I did manage to get some housework & grocery shopping done though.

I spent some quality time with family and attended a Memorial, Celebration of Life service.
I had the best weekend with the love of my life that we have had in a good long while.
With the hulabaloo and all of the projects it involved getting ready for bratboys graduation over, and him spending some quality time ( for us, if not so much for him) with his grandparents for a couple of weeks, we were able to just "BE".
We had no hurried schedule to complete, no one to entertain, no major building projects and were able to just chill, cook some yummy food, relax in the pool, take care of one another in ways we often put as a lower priority when the expectations of taking care of others takes precedence.
I am looking forward to the upcoming weekend as well as it will be our second weekend to ourselves. We pick up the boy the following week, so back to our normal. So, at least for this weekend, we can be in the house completely relaxed in our skivvies ( or less), we can buy special treats and actually still find them in the fridge, we can go to the bathroom without putting the seat down or being disgusted by the yellow stains, we can NOT argue about why teenage boys NEED to bathe...LOL! It truly is the little things that can make a life peaceful or not!
Love the boy, but I am too busy being IN LOVE with his mom for two weeks to miss him too much!
Hope everyone else is having grand weekends! (f)

I painted my bedroom it is beautiful....wish I knew how to post a picture :perv:
I'm trying to post pictures and having trouble too, can't post from the phone right now, though.
Debbie, I have the walls of my bedroom painted a red hue. I love it, and all of my family and friends, after they get past the jaw dropping moment, and start to take in the warmth of the room, end up telling me they also love it.
In my younger years, I remember May West had a red bedroom (she was the most sophisticated slut I can recall from television)and I knew from a young age, there would be a time in my life that my bedroom would be red. (it's not fire engine red). My home is loaded with colors.
How are you feeling darling? click on my you tube link.:bunchflowers:
eta: ooops, speed reading...on the phone, instead of working (my bad) walls that were red!

Surprisingly I feel pretty good after yesterday :)
Don't get me wrong I love RED! My dining room is red - my bedroom has been red for 8 years...I was just ready for something different...when I woke up this morning to my darkish taupe walls for a second I had to wonder where I was in this 'vanilla' room LOL :| it's actually very soothing....I have many accents that are red, so it's still there :bunchflowers:

Took in two Pirates games both night games with temps in the 90's.
Played in my garden at sunrise, also kayaked at sunrise.....so did many others. Was nice to have yak company while out on the river. Mornings are nice.
Made a ton of cold radish soup.
Listened to music all day yesterday, sometimes pretty loud.....alot of Janis Joplin....hid in the a/c house....at one point I had a jacket and socks on, while laying under a blanket. I don't do extreme heat well. Had insomnia
last night.
So glad to be back to work. (and I'm not working)

I worked Saturday and Sunday.
After work on Saturday I walked around downtown a bit, had a late lunch, bought some cigars, went to an internet cafe.
After work on Sunday I did some grocery shopping, made chicken burritos for dinner, watched "Unknown" and drank scotch and smoked a cigar. Went to bed around 1:30 or 2 am.
Today is a holiday here. Last night a co-worker texted me and said there was a shift that became available and wanted to know if I wanted it. I thought about it and, despite needing the money, turned the shift down - - partly because I'm not sure if I'd get holiday pay for working but mostly because I just didn't feel like it.
I slept in, walked my furbaby, watched American Pickers for a bit. Then I went to a movie. Read some more of my book. And since my friend's office was closed for the day I decided to come in and check my email and stuff.

Saturday I had to be to work at 9am. Usually I take the train in but due to construction - - that there wasn't any warning about - - the 3 lane highway was reduced to 1 lane. Everyone was forced to exit on a side street.
I got to work at my usual time - but I had to drive in since I missed my train.
Around 2 pm I started feeling sick. When the evening shift person came to give me my lunch break at 3pm she took one look at me and told me to go home and she'd cover the rest of my shift.
The drive home included stupid people that wouldn't let me merge - so I ended up going to a different highway altogether. Then there was a mini monsoon. Got home and just went to bed and slept for 5 hours. Got up and called in sick for the next day. Had a glass of water and went to back to bed.
Sunday I slept until almost 9am. Got up and let the dog out, put out her food, went back to bed and slept until 2pm. Awake, had a glass of water, read some of my book, napped - - - repeat until 6pm.
Got up and had toast. Finished my book. Went to bed at 10pm.

I got to go to Savannah over the weekend. It was quite a trip to get there but was so glad I did. The historic area is pretty amazing. Walking the riverwalk and shops. I did lots of walking. The only downside was the heat. Wow I still can't believe how hot it is with the heat index this summer.
The fun out weighed the summer sun and heat. :)

well...saturday, i worked 7-7 - long day..when i got home i bathed, jammified and went straight to bed, so i could spend time with Mtn once He got home from work (with our time difference it proves interesting to find time, but we ALWAYS do, hence my early bedtimes these days, heh..) - so had a wonderful evening with my Daddy ♥
Then sunday, i worked 7-3, came home and caught up a bit on housework, after i bathed - and then made dinner, settled to read a little in bed and then went to sleep early once again, so i could get up through the night with my handsome Daddy ♥ and ended up staying up with Him til 7am! *smiling* We're excited and gitty for upcoming travel plans when i go there in September!
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay US... so despite dramas at work, and people calling in sick and us working short and a mountain of housework waiting for me when i came home - i can't help but have the most awesome weekend with time i have with Him... so great weekend , indeed. ♥

Took a mountain day trip. I mean all day trip....got home at 3 am. Stopped at a few shopping places along the way in Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Pigeon Forge. Had the best hamburger I ever at in Townsend Tn. Rode the loop at Cades Cove saw a flock of wild turkey, many deer, they are still in velvet and then the coolest thing happened a sow bear and her cubs walked right across the street in front of us. AWESOME! Picked up a TN lottery ticket and back to NC we headed. Great trip, most wonderful company just an overall awesome adventure. Hope to do it again when the weather is cooler and the wallet if fuller.:cigar2:
This past weekend we went up to Meadows of Dan for the VA State Peach Festival. A very sweet little fest with local crafts and locally grown peaches/ apples/ etc. Bought a couple little things and took the old boy Max along for the drive. The ride back down the mountain we came via Rte 8 and drove through Floyd. An odd hamlet occupied with a mixture of older hippies, artisans and mountain folk. I am going to start taking my vehicles to a shop up there which is " the home of the hateful mechanic". Sounds like my kinda fixit guy.
This coming weekend is the annual Labor Day Flea Market in Hillsville, VA. The entire city/ town becomes a flea market! They expect upwards of 500,000 folks showing up! Dear God, I know I will lose the girl. Thinking we may get a hotel so we can do both days, and so I can go hide when it becomes overwhelming!

Since my love got into town on Thursday night, Friday was filled with a combination of work, and being "interrupted" from work thoughts by a quick kiss on the neck (which of course lead to other things!). Saturday was busy, and ended up with an AMAZING time with wonderful BFP friends old and new, with lots of butch bonding going on outside around the grill, and Femme bonding going on the couch. We even got some big laughs from the Godzilla vs Mothra movie playing in the background. (can't believe Medusa had never seen movies with Mothra!)
Sunday was Meet the Press, coffee and juice in bed, followed by LOTS and LOTS of amazing sex, interspersed with several episodes of True Blood season 4 (catching up with that season before beginning to catch up with the current season).
Now it is Monday. My love doesn't have to go back on the road until tomorrow, so it is still a mix of needed work and cuddling on the couch and getting her laundry done and yeah, sex. This only seeing her once every 18-20 days (maybe) can be difficult, but man oh man we make our days count when we get them!

I did nothing outside of my mobile because I sprained my right foot on a porch step that caved in. I missed 2 shifts at work on Saturday because not only was I hobbling around, but putting a shoe on that foot hurt. So, I played online, watched TV, read more of my book and used a cold pack on the area of my foot that was most swollen a few times over the weekend. Oh, I did manage to toss some stuff in my crock pot and call it dinner last night and leftovers for today.

(my favorite are the Chocolate Cherries and Yellow Pears!) I made enough to feed an army! Easy lunches this week!
I also rearranged my living room so I can sleep near the AC while I'm on house arrest with a busted up back. I purged some things I didn't need to hang onto.
I ate healthier this weekend, as opposed to fried chicken sandwiches and fries from Bojangles while I usually travel for my job. It's good to be home and enjoy meals at home.

Sunday we are going to Disney's Magic Kingdom for my daughters 16 bday and hanging with friends.

Bunch of fun.
After work Saturday, Blaze took me to a organic restaurant .
Sunday headed out to Galveston to check out the new Pleasure Pier that just opened about 2 months ago.
We did some souvenir shopping , rode many rides, but not all of them! They kept me very dizzy.
Its been too long since we both rode roller coasters. Ate at Bubba Gump restaurant. it was ok .....service there kinda sucked. It was good to get out , Galveston Island is such a fun place.
