to all those whom i've gotten to care about here and to those who might have come to befriend me:
when i am gone for periods of time, any or all of these may be the reasons. i am primary caretaker for an ill member of my family. sometimes the the demands of this are such that i simply do not have time to post anything or even come to the site. or i am so exhausted that i don't have time to visit and keep up with everything here. my email boses are overflowing. i am perpetually sleep-deprived and often eat on the run. i am ill myself and often cannot bear to look at the glare of a computer, television, or even a lght.my studies have come to a halt b/c i am slowly or not so slowly going blind due to MS -related eye problems. i need to learn braille while i still have sight left to help me.
i am not saying this to gain pity or out of need. i just had the urge to explain why i am absent and then reappear. i have accepted that this is my Way for now, though i am working to change my living situation. thanks greatly to all who have befriended me here. i treasure Y/you more Y/you know.
namaste,

Pres, thinking good healthy thoughts for you and wishing you all the best in the world!!!! Perhaps someone you trust could come on here in your place to say you are doing okay just busy not not feeling well etc. I have health issues too and I know how important it is to have sites such as this to link us to the world!!! Take care!

Is there any affordable software available that can assist people with impaired vision to read, post and chat on the Planet? I am sure there are many LGBTQ folks that are in need of it to stay connected with the community.

(This may really be a post that is more appropriate for the IT thread hosted by Linus.)

http://www.screenreader.net/ <-- Free (windows platform only). I can search for Mac as well. Dragon Speaking is affordable (although that depends on how one defines affordable), ranging from $30-130 USD.
