Bond and M on International Women's Day. While we may go on about our own rights, women still face much of the challenges still today -- yes, even in 2011. I know in Canada there is an organization (Provincially and corporate funded) to help promote women: http://www.cdnwomen.org/EN/index.html
What other events/organizations need our support today to help women become equal?

Thanks Linus for starting this thread.
I found this (https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10150434828910055&id=6216464588) to be worth a read also.
Just remember that so many of our rights are in peril right now.
March is also National Women's History Month!

I wasn't aware that it was the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day.

To all the women, Happy International Day of the Woman! Here's hoping we can all work together to promote women every where and end all the bias, judgemental attitudes and discrimination that goes on towards women!
Canada's National Women's Month is October... I didn't realize it was different.

I usually have an NPR station on in the background and there have been several programs on covering violence against women of the world. Although, I know this, I cringe, feel both anger and sorrow and wonder if there will ever be generations of women free of this.
