One word of caution, though. Please make sure you are copying the addresses EXACTLY as they were given to you. Some postal services are pickier than others and will send that stuff back or it will just whirl around in a vortex somewhere, never to be found.

Don't let your postcards fall into the abyss.

You're not kidding!! I found some at the local Hallmark store. They were all Texas related with one of a beautiful field of bluebonnets. I bought them and was content. Then... I made the mistake of going on EBay. Then... I spent the next hour scrolling through thousands and before I realized I'd bought way more than I needed! :p

Found some very cool cards while I was in Detroit, but they're a little unusual. I went to the post office yesterday and they assured me that these can go in the mail. So, I'm mailing mine today.

hey Besame'...we should be ok on the Gulf side. It won't be near Fla til about Thursday and may just hang out in Atlantic.

For me, this was a one time deal. If someone else would like to work through a new group, they are more than welcome to kick off a new round. If there's just one person who'd like to participate, I say have them contact the people they are interested in swapping postcards with and go from there. I expect that the people we have now will continue to swap as time goes on. At least, I hope so. :)

I recall 1/2 Price Books sells postcards too. I remember the stores in San Antonio did.

Ok, funny story..

After I moved here, I started noticing what I passed on the way to work. The restaurants, the grocery stores, my bank, and various places I would go too. I noticed I passed a 1/2 Book Store. Ok, file that for later when I want to sell books and stuff.

Well, now I need postcards. One day after work, I sat in my car, and googled the directions. I wasn't quite sure of the exit of the freeway, or was it off the access road? Texas, has one way access roads that run alongside of the highways. ( just doesn't make sense, I tell you) Couldn't find it, but I know it's over there~~~~>

So I head on over to find some goodies. Drove into the parking lot. Got out, walked to the sidewalk out side of the store. Hmm, a huge roll of bubble wrap, and a pile of boxes. I was disappointed to say the least. They must have moved and didn't take the sign down. , ...ok so since then, I've gone to the local antique stores to find postcards.

Oh, let say, about two weeks later, on my way to work. I saw that sign again. But wait..there is no "k".

That there "k" is most definitely and "X". 1/2 Price Boxes!

I only saw what I wanted to see. So...still on the prowl for postcards. I'm going out of state...which means I have to drive across the huge state of Texas. I'm postcard stopping along the way!!your in for a treat...Buckees post card..lol

Yesterday I got the most hilarious postcard!

Sorry, sorry, sorry! I have had a lot on my plate the last few months...er, years. I ended up resigning my job on Monday. I'm taking a couple weeks for me before I get back into the hustle. I had already stocked up on postcards and had a bunch addressed and signed, I just never got around to getting postcard stamps.

I've been lucky living in a touristy area that I do.

They can be funny cards as well, I mean not of just locations/towns. It could be that postcards may becoming a thing of the past I guess, seeing most cell phones have cameras.

Why? Don't feel that way! I sent multiple ones out because I bought too many and needed to get rid of some of them. lol I still have a bunch from last time so I'd be up for participating again. No theme necessary. A list is collected and sent out and you work from that list. It seems like we're stalling a bit now but when someone is able to manage and distribute the list, things will get rolling.
