home sickies today, but hoping i can be back to work tomorrow.. i'm already starting to feel a bit better so that's a plus... so i will hopefully be working the weekend (well not that i really want to, i would love weekends off LOL) but, tomorrow & Sunday i work, then i'm off Monday & Tuesday! guess that'll be my weekend!

but otherwise, i will be playing some catchup over the weekend as well , ive been putting so many things off the last few months and its time to step up and get things done!

oh and Sunday night, is movie night for the children and i, we haven't decided just what yet, but... they are back to school on after the weekend so, doing something with them will be nice!

It's still tentative...the boys are on board, just waiting to see if Scoote is up to it....but we're thinking about "crashing" one of the Disney resort hotels...just setting ourselves up by the pool, playing on the water slides, soaking in the hot tub, eating some nachos, and getting a drink (or two) from the bar.

I'm sure there's a chaise lounge poolside with my name on it. :)

My plans with Pajara got cancelled due to what I now refer to as "this damn snow". So....my weekend plans now include: missing her, freezing, STILL trying to dislodge my car from this damn snow, waiting to hear how her Reiki class goes, doing homework, nomming on some chocolate, hoping this damn snow melts, texting, lots of napping, watching some true crime on the I.D. channel, and just general all-around boredness. Um...that's about it, I suppose.

Let's see, my daughter overloaded the front load washer and the clorox 2 fell off the top of the washing machine so there was this HUGE clorox 2 mess on the floor to clean up... let me give you a hint: use a dry towel first!

Second, we got started on cleaning my son's room out to turn it into a guest bedroom. My best friend R is gonna be moving in with me and we have a ways to go on this room. But it's exciting to see it clearing up!

i LOVE when google-calendar sends me an email that says "you have NO events scheduled today"

HOOOOOOORAH!

with that in mind i intend to do a whole lot of not much this weekend!

i aim to spend more than 80% of my time in my pajamas:
reading, sleeping, cooking, film watching and allowing Cosmo to sleep on the sofa with me.

i may get very ambitious and meet my best bear and his new boy for coffee,

...i may even be industrious and clean my floors ... or maybe not.

I am going into the hospital. They are going to try some new meds on me for my sleep disorder. They have to monitor me during the night to see if it has any effect on the seizures. And, if I hallucinate or dance for them again. But seriously, its more for the seizure control. The lack of sleep, specific kinds of sleep, is affecting my mood and I am getting deeper depressed when awake. This has to change or its not going to be pretty....I dont dance well when I am happy...imagine a jig when I am miserable....lol

It's gonna be awhile before I have a real weekend (Saturday + Sunday) to do the things I'd like to do. So this weekend, after I get off work, I am going to do some shopping for things I really need:
1) To buy a new notebook (the one I've had for awhile just took a dive onto the floor and now I have half a screen with which to see anything, not to mention I have multiple 5x5 screens with pages I can't live without - email, banking, etc).

2) To continue my search for the perfect gown to wear, for a party next month: I hope to find matching shoes and gloves, too.

3) To search for and buy new earrings: I lost the last pair of tear drop earrings I had. I can't even wear my new tear drop crystal earrings because that pair is missing too.

Other than that, I hope to find time to visit friends in town and attend a BBQ (weather permitting).

My nephew and his fiance (my sister's son) have been visiting this week and yesterday was his 25th birthday. We've been having a wonderful time with "the kids" and there's still time to go for more fun!!! So far, it's been shows, visiting (Hoover Dam, the Area 51 Highway, casinos and buffets) and little sleep. Jeesh, even 25 y/o's exhaust me, but I simply love and adore these kids and am willing to be a little tired in order to give them a good time. :heartbeat::winky:

The early part of the weekend is my one year anniversary with my Daddy. We are holding off on a bigger celebration because it fell on the same weekend that my girlfriends are having a girls night campout and Daddy knows I haven't seen them since February due to COVID. We have planned a safe social distancing campout on my one friend's farm and I can't wait. We both know I need a girls weekend badly and since we are limited to outside gatherings right now, this is probably the last time I will see them until spring. We will celebrate our anniversary tomorrow night a little and then more with a weekend trip away in a coming weekend when I have recovered from camping :)

Hopefully - tentatively - I'm getting a new dog this weekend! She is a 5-year-old lab mix. I haven't met her yet, which is the next step. But she sounds perfect! I would like to adopt an older dog, but not too old. Her owner died recently. She doesn't seem to get along with other dogs, but that is fine, as I really only want one dog. She lives inside. She is 47 pounds, a perfect size for me - not too big, not too small. Her name is Red/Reddy. I hope to meet her this evening or tomorrow morning. Hopefully we will hit it off!

On Saturday or Sunday my son and I are going to a couple of stores where they sell items that are new but returns, or in torn packaging, or have been discontinued. Then a store where they sell mostly new surplus construction items but also sometimes second hand business office, or used school furniture. I have a Fred Meyer gift card left over from Christmas, so we plan to do a little shopping there. My grandson is turning a year and maybe my son can give a little insight as to what he might like. I'm thinking of maybe just giving him a savings bond because he's so spoiled he's got a mountain of toys, clothes, furniture already. Afterwards I'm going to come home do the dishes and tidy the place up a bit so it won't look like a storm hit when J drops by on Monday. Then just usual nighttime stuff — computer, television, maybe read depending on how I feel.

I left work early on Friday because it was time to put my elderly cat down. I had hoped she would pass in her sleep and it was seeming like that would be the case for a while but she was hanging on too long and starting to suffer. It's sad but I know it was her time. She was 18 years old and with me for 16 of those years. Having had to put my dog down a few months ago it's a lot of furry loss but I'm sure they are reunited out there somewhere now.

Saturday I got my covid vax and kind of slept the rest of the day away.

Today I'm doing some light packing for moving but taking it easy as I'm feeling worn out. Later I'll work on making some healthy soup and see if I can convince Daddy to eat it even though it's Football day which means Football food....

I have today off so I'm officially on my long weekend.

Today is moving day! After a year and a half of back and forth and back and forth I'm moving in with my Daddy. Just 20 miles from where I've been living so distance wise, not a huge move. We are super excited. I have movers coming next weekend for the big stuff but after today I should have all of my day to day things there so I can just stay in one place.

Tomorrow I get COVID shot #2 so who knows how the rest of the weekend will go. It might be me in bed under blankets not getting a whole lot of moving and unpacking done but that's okay.

Today is moving day! After a year and a half of back and forth and back and forth I'm moving in with my Daddy.

Congratulations! That's big news! I'm really happy for you both.

My boy has been living with me and my boi since February 2020 (Covid) - so we kind of all moved in together by default. The boi was already here, but the boy has been slowly moving his stuff over in dribs and drabs. It would have been better to move it all at once, but we didn't decide the boy was going to permanently move in until later. We've been really much happier together all the time, although it took some getting used to. I hope your move-in goes easier than ours did! and that you will be as happy and content as we are.

Today after work I am getting another Covid test so I can go to the sleep lab next week. I'm going to do my taxes, and those are the only adulting things I am going to do this weekend. I want to catch up on The Mandalorian.

Today it's just chores around the house.

We're hoping to take a day trip Sunday to Port Townsend and then cut over and go to Sequim!

Hanging out with my sister - binge watching Alone - went out and put gas in her truck, went to the post office, and grabbed a few things at the corner market.

Just enjoying this beautiful "hopefully sign of things to come" pre-Summer day.

Most of the weekend will be spent working on a special project. It may require another trip to the AAA outlet store in Bremerton!

Sunday will be spent scouring the sales circulars that are in our Sunday paper.

Sunday evening I'm hoping to get a few cards and letters ready to drop in for Monday's early departure!

With the Delta variant cruising around and the vax rate lower than I'd like it to be. Even though my partner, neighbors, and I are vaxxed as are most of the village we live in, or so they say.

With all the fake vaccination cards floating around, I trust no one that I didn't see get vaccinated or superbly trust. Which is why I still mask outside.

Therefore, we won't be going anywhere. Haven't gone anywhere since before CoVid-19 except for unrelated doctor appointments which amount to about two years.

Anyway, wish there were somewhere safe to go.

Staying around the house mostly.

We'll be hauling out the Autumn decorations for sure now that October has arrived. We have scarecrows, bats, ghosts, door wreathes, pumpkins, all sorts of goodies to welcome in the fall season of holidays... :thanksgiving:

Sunday will be spent watching football no doubt....:footballpass:

This weekend I'll be on the hunt to find Smokey The Bear memoabilia! I know Kingston won't have anything, so more than likely we'll drive south to Tacoma. Of course being so close to Cloverleaf we'll just have to stop by and grab a pizza.

I'm also looking for Mount Rainier National Park items such as T-shirts, patches, written informational articles, etc etc. I think I'll have more luck finding that sort of stuff on a different weekend, perhaps on a drive north towards Sequim or Port Angeles WA....:carride:

I also have plans this weekend to catch up on some correspondence...:gotmail:

Cleaning the garage. It's empty but the last renters left it a huge mess, disgusting. I mean these apartments are practically brand new and the last renter was the first and only this entire time. I've seen units that have been occupied for years, survived multiple renters and still come out looking much better than this. Well it could be worse and garage space is at such a premium here I'm not about to complain, risk pissing anybody off. Better to just do it myself.

Found some Smokey the Bear items, had pizza, and even found a little something of Mount Rainier National Park!

As for correspondence, check your mailbox later in the week....:giggle:

I’m so excited to say, I’m seeing a favorite singer perform this weekend!

Her name is Sarah Jarosz. Not sure how well known she is. I adore her music and she’s coming reasonably close to me this weekend. I bought tickets ages ago in anticipation!!!

After that I have off until Wednesday. It’s just a nice way to start my long weekend….
