Today was Black Friday and some of you no doubt braved the crowds to find some great deals to put under the holiday tree.

I've been told I'm notoriously difficult to buy for because I don't want many "things" but when I do want something I simply go get it. My wishlist is pretty non-existent but I'm curious about what is on the wishlists of others. Do share.

And just like that I thought of something for my own wishlist:

Wusthof Knives

You'll have to excuse me while I go perv out on kitchen wares.

When I was a kid, my mom handled this by having everyone display their letters to Santa on the fridge before they got mailed. It was YEARS before I understood that when they DID get mailed, she did it herself because she was stealing them. :shocked:

Can't complain, we got lots of what we asked for... although that world peace wish kinda stumped her. ;)

My wish list is pretty long, but world peace still tops it.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dear :santa1:,
I've been as good as I can be
So I hope you'll bring good things to me
Don't want coal filling my stocking
Thought I hear it's chocolate 'n' ain't that shocking!
I hope you're listening from wherever you are
Cuz the odds aren't as good when I wish on a star
You come through more often, historically speaking
I'm thinking you must be computerly geeking
How else could you keep track of whosis and whatsis
And always be certain what new fad the fuss is?
However you do it, you're still tops by me
So I'm asking again, please bring us world peace.
Love,
Cath
There's not much I require....
For the past several years, my daughter gives me something with "Mom" on it because she knows I love stuff like that.....or angels....I'm easy that way. <smile>
I love books.....journals....picture frames....fountain pens....anything scackbook related really....:present:
And, of course, The One thing I want can't be wrapped....but it's a nice package all the same...:heartbeat:
My girlfriend thinks I'm awful to buy for...and I havent the
faintest idea why ! Just because I'm indecisive and dont
really have a "list" ? LOL...
I love ANYTHING homemade because I'm mushy like that.
One of the best gifts I've ever EVER gotten was a little
wooden box, filled with matchbook-sized handwritten phrases,
thoughts and inspirations. And there were enough of them to read
one a day for a year !
I LOVED that gift and still read them, a year and a half later !
(thank you honey !)
Well.... I have a general wish of things I would really like... Its the same list I give out out birthday AND Christmas, and so far... it hasn't changed in about 5 years cause I still don't have them... LOL... maybe next year I will finally have the funds to just go purchase them for myself.
SO... my wish list...
Guitar
Electric Keyboard
New Sewing Machine (regular and serger)
Dress Form
MP3 Player (yes, I really don't have one)
That's it... I don't want much, they are all just kinda pricey... I don't expect to get them... but I would LOVE them all the same.
Like Cath, I think world peace would be nifty.
More realistically, however, I see crafty goods, soc:sock:s, sweets and warm stuff in my future.
My roomie is considering hooking me up with her massage guy. I would be okay with that too.
Some pretty things would be nice, but it's not required. :blueheels:
Ooooh! I'd REALLY appreciate it if there wasn't a major storm between now and Christmas, seeing as how this is my last winter up here, maybe Mother Nature will chill out a bit and not be so feisty this season.
Wusthof Knives
You'll have to excuse me while I go perv out on kitchen wares.
I have one Wusthof knife I received free when I went to a "knife seminar" while working at Crate & Barrel years ago.
I covet it. Seriously the best knife I've ever owned.
Maybe I shall put that on my wishlist :)
What is Gentleman Jack? from the Jack Daniels family? I'm always looking for good scotch recommendations to go with my cigars (one of my wish list things).
And is there a subversive crochet book? :cheesy:
My wish lists include:
- good yarn for my crochet projects
- a full set of crochet needles
- a new Powerbook Pro laptop for myself
- a raise and promotion
- time to work on some PHP, Ajax and other coding projects.
- time to visit and spend with friends and family
I'm tough to buy for, as well because I can't ever think of anything I want that I don't just get myself. However, I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of one of my gifts from a friend -- season 5 of CSI:NY. Ummmmm, Melina marathon coming right up!
I do like lots of little things, but mostly I have to be surprised because I can never think of something that doesn't go like this: iPod, new set of tires, etc.
