I was born within a few days of the end of WWII and for the first time in those 70 years I believe the world is rudderless and NO ONE knows what to do.
I read the thread about Presidential Election 2016 with disbelief...this election is NOT about the economy. ..and the United States, leader of the so called "free world" has boxed itself into choosing between a bunch of mediocrities, not a one of whom has a credible plan for the survival plan for the planet for the next 5 years, never mind the next century.

What is a green juice?
Hey Rocks, it's a juice made primarily from green veggies. My favorite one is Emerald Bliss from a local place. The ingredients in Emerald Bliss are: celery, apple, spinach, kale, parsley and ginger. I used to make it daily but I now drink one from a company that uses kale (black and green), parsley, collard greens, dandelion greens, green chard, green leaf lettuce, green apple. It's really good and it pretty much looks like this:
http://www.youngandraw.com/wp-content/uploads/Deep-Green-Cleanse-Juice.jpg
A good base for green juice is celery and cucumbers. Both yield a lot of liquid when juiced and taste good (IMO), though I'm not drinking a lot of cucumbers these days.
If you decide to try it, try to find some that's freshly squeezed opposed to juice that's pasteurized.

Not sure if breakfast counts as my pre-workout food or my more relaxed and filling post-workout meal, so here's both.
Pre-workout: one small banana with about 2 TBS of reduced fat peanut butter
Post-workout: two small eye of round steaks, a little bit of jasmine rice with slivered almonds and steamed green beans on top and all of it drizzled with a ginger sesame vinaigrette. I had a Halo on the side and a glass of chocolate milk to drink.

Good morning y'all.... Lots of fun last night came with a hefty price tag of colossal hangover this morning. Sunday is my gym fun day so this hangover will have to go away fast!
This is my hangover cure breakfast:
SEA SALT AVOCADO TOAST
1 slice sprouted whole grain bread, toasted
1/3 avocado
Lemon juice
Pinch sea salt
Directions: Slice avocado and place on toasted bread. Drizzle lemon juice and sea salt over top.
Why it works: The fat in avocados and the bread help soak up and settle whatever is going on in your stomach. The sea salt helps increase thirst, encouraging you to drink more water and help rehydrate your body.
HOMEMADE GINGER TEA
1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger (more flavorful than sliced ginger; use a box grater, cheese grater, or a microplane zester)
2 cups water
1 tablespoon liquid sweetener for flavor (honey or maple syrup)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Directions:Grate the ginger. If you don't have a grater, slice the ginger as thinly as possible and use 2 tablespoon instead of 1.Bring the water to a boil, add the ginger and remove from heat. Let sit for 10 minutes to steep. Strain the ginger and stir in the sweetener and lemon juice.
Why it works: Most of us reach for coffee after a night out, but since it’s a diuretic, it’ll further dehydrate you and can increase how terrible you feel. This ginger tea is a powerful combination of anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory properties. Homemade is best since drinks like ginger ale don’t actually have enough ginger to help nausea. Adding a little sugar to the tea helps with low-blood sugar, which could also be causing an upset stomach or lightheaded feeling.

Healthy Choice Steamers Beef Merlot frozen dinner - Yuck! I don't usually eat this sort of stuff for breakfast but I need the steam tray part to use as a stencil for my craft project and I don't want to have to wait until after lunch to start working on it.

Cost of simillar stencil at ye jolly bargain basement craft store online - $14.99
I've only been awake 30 minutes and already I've saved $13.00 - this day is starting out smoking good! Despite what they taught us in Home Ec some days it really does pay to have a bad meal.
