The word donate does not specifically mean "to a charity" It means to give a gift. Sometimes to charities. Sometimes not.

It means to gift something and not expect anything back.

That's how i take it anyway.

I donated time to my parents restaurant, back when they had one. It certainly wasn't for charity. It was just a gift.

YSK Chavela has glaucoma but the Dr. says it can be treated with 2 weeks of drops followed by an injection

She does not have to get surgery, and she doesn't see any worse than she already did (huge cataracts in both eyes means she has only seen dark and light for years)

The Dr. also said it probably had not gotten to the point of actually being painful for her. So, good news on all fronts except billing lol

YSK I am a lucky gal...my chrissy is so devoted to me and is the only person I have been with, that never meets my negative fall outs with his own. Ex: I was having a melt down from having to talk all morning on the phone..22 phone calls for the store! I HATE talking on the phone so this really put me over the edge. So he left...and I assumed he was getting out of the way of my melt down. In a few minutes he came back, bearing a HUGE chocolate bar.

YSK- a deer ran out in front of my car last night and I hit it. I'm fine, the damage to my car will be repaired, but I can't stop worrying about that poor deer. It hit the front of my car and then went up in the air and came down on the hood. I watched the poor thing writhing on the ground and them get up and run. You should also know that when you are using your iPhone as a mini computer and try to hit a thread in the index, your (my) finger can accidently hit the name of the last poster instead of the thread!

YSK: Being included on the United Way scavenger hunt list (Hint 5: Find the girl with the gap-toothed smile in {division}) was alternately completely thrilling (as was posing cheesily for many phone pictures) and slightly insulting (people NOTICE? Oh God. Braces. I need braces now.)
YSK: You save my butt on a daily basis by stepping up and being my technical lead without any accolades but the steady stream of "thank you thank you thank you" you get from me. This is worth a commendation to the company president.

YSK its 7am and the sun isn't up yet. That is just wrong!!!!!!! The sun should be up at 0600 every morning without fail if you ask me. Another reason I don't like winter.
