I need sleep and for my mind to shut down when I get into bed. For the past two days I have been fighting with my supervisor, even in my manager's office a couple of times.

This afternoon that little bastard no back bone weasel came into my cubicle sucking up to me asking about Gavin, my new dog. Supervisor was trying to make nice. I was having no part of it. I am sick to death of his lies. I reminded him of something he told me one year ago and he denied ever having said it. I stood up and thought I would surely fly across my desk on him. Then I remembered I do not hit people so pointed to my door and I told him to get the hell out of my cubicle.

Hope not and do not know but I imagine I could get fired for my behavior.

I left for the day after that incident. Then called my manager and told him I did not know how to handle this situation so I would let EEOC take it. I will make an appointment with them and file a grievance. I haven't ever filed one of these in my life. Guess I will soon find out how these things work.

552 million! Well it's a good thing I didn't win it. I'd probably die of shock. My youngest would probably buy a hydroplane or a Formula One race car and there goes Number Two Son. My oldest, well his ex would probably come back and try and get rich by killing him since he still hasn't gotten around to doing all the necessary paperwork to make his nice, new girlfriend (the one I like) beneficiary. The neighbors would probably set out food for Monte gone feral, who'd probably wind up really sick because he's unable to keep Meow Mix down. Sure being poor is awful but maybe the universe really does know, in the greater grander scheme of things, what would ultimately be in our best interest. To me it's all about perspective – glass half full/glass half empty. Rather than dwelling on how awful being poor is I try and focus on how terrible things could be if what I thought would be good for me actually wasn't. Of course this is only just speculation because you can't win if you don't play. I figure I don't have to. If it's really in my best interest to be rich it's mine, I don't have to chase after it, it will all in good time come to me. Ha! I am working on problem solving regarding being part of a leadership group in which I frequently am the only female. This does not bother me in terms of my work and my boss, the executive director, is great with supervision. Gender is more apparent when we are in a meeting either just the leadership group or the leadership team plus outside agencies or companies which frequently I am still the only female. I am working on problem solving regarding being part of a leadership group in which I frequently am the only female. This does not bother me in terms of my work and my boss, the executive director, is great with supervision. Gender is more apparent when we are in a meeting either just the leadership group or the leadership team plus outside agencies or companies which frequently I am still the only female. I have no issues presenting information and making decisions. There does seem to be a difference in the way I am addressed versus my male colleagues. I am also aware that one of the male directors that I supervise makes 20% more than I do. I have a higher degree and I am his supervisor yet he makes more.

My lawnmower died today and it is a must have.

I did return a STIHL weedeater yesterday. I only had it for a few weeks. It was advertised as EZ-START but there was no easy start to it. They returned all but $30.00 on the weed eater although I had to get really firm about it. Finally I said rather abruptly, "it is a fake EZ-START!" He knew my fuse was becoming short with him finally quit moaning about taking it back ... the moaning became tiresome. I was fine with the $30.00 he kept, felt it was fair to both of us.

I hope to get a lawn mower tomorrow. There are some good 4th of July sales going on right now. This grass has to be cut low every week and even less time than that when it rains a lot. Low grass helps deter the snakes. I honestly would love to set off dynamite all over these woods to run every damn one of them off but I do not think I would like jail food. This vegan diet is about to starve me to death.

Back thinking about tannerite again ... (snickering to self) :) .... knowing full well none of you like tannerite or learning about Australia's killer bird, the cassowary.

A couple of months ago, I watched one hide out in a Coleus plant then snatch a carpenter bee out of mid-air and devour it in no time flat. I didn’t even know they did such a thing. It was pretty fascinating to watch. (Felt bad for the little bee, though.)
