Last night at 938pm in Bryn Mawr Pa, Teddy Pendergrass died. His death was due to respiratory failure. He is survived by his Mother, Ida, three children and a whole bunch of beautiful grandchildren.

He will be sorely missed, he was and always will be one of Philadelphia's favorite sons and shining stars.

His music, will be remembered, his life will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.. Philadlephia and the surrounding area shall miss him and all the good things he did for Philly, quietly, without flair, without publicity. Dean

I met Teddy Pendergrass in the
70s when he was with Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes.
They came in the station for an on-air interview before a concert.

My favorite song was The Love I Lost with Teddy on lead.
The other one is Dinner for Two from a solo album he
recorded in the 80s.
He was a great talent.
