I was looking for a blazer for professional wear but it is not working out well. I am not that tall but not that short, however, an average man's blazer is too long for me. I need a short jacket. I think perhaps a little longer than a matador's jacket. Something waist length.

Any ideas out there?

Maybe you can do what I did Chad, buy the one that fits you right everywhere else, like sleeves and around and then get it shortened. That's what I always do. Hope it helps.

That is a great idea. Men's Warehouse offered to make me a jacket and I might go that route since my size does not change more then +/- 10 lbs.
I am looking for a designer. I have a lot of talented friends that could design the jacket. Maybe someone would buy their design. A win for all.

I was thinking that before my jacket is made I could wear a dress shirt, nice vest, and a bow tie or long tie for work presentations.
Mom bought me a nice vest for Christmas.

Chad , another thing to try is to go to the local thrift shop and find a nice blazer or sports coat as they don't seem as long. This would do you till you get the proper one you are happy with.

moe I like almost all you post on nice clothes but this checked jacket I would not wear to a dog fight. I have seen some of your duds and this jacket would bring you down bud. I have checked shirts black/white and blue/white that are warm and I love them but I am not into stripes or checks at all. You are a sharp dresser so keep to the stuff that makes you look good.

True Stone but there is just something I find striking about it!

Perhaps the bow tie along with the black lapels of the jacket over a white starched shirt, I'm not sure.......

I think you’re right about it taking a certain kind of butch, but I also think it would depend on the occasion. In a Christmas setting as pictured I think it works! Then again I’m Scottish and bleed plaid so I might be a bit biased here…:jester:
