i blame it on being a tad dyslexic.. the concept of left and right , east and west just does not process the same way and i end up opposite of where i want to be.

When i was young my family said i would get lost in a bathtub.. and they teased me a bit because i would always try to guess the way home.. and i was never right. They didn’t know but this was causing me to be so self conscious about it.

The worse time was my office was getting together at a LOCAL bar and restaurant one evening. It was on the other side of town from me, but still in New Orleans.
No GPS, i took my hand written directions and tried to follow them. i kept going in a big circle around town. SO i stopped at a gas station and asked this nice fella for a M.A.P lol and he told me where i needed to go. Well that was no help.. i got MAJORLY lost, back and forth across all of New Orleans for hours. i drove through a rain storm and the sun came back out again..then it got dark and it was getting late.. but i was determined. My co-workers were worried about me. Well i pull into what i thought was another gas station.. and i saw this guy walk out with the most confused look on his face.... it was the SAME guy and station as hours and hours before.

i had a meltdown. i was so embarrassed. well by this time everyone had gone home and i used his phone to call one of my coworkers who said they were about to put a APB on me..... He gassed up my car and i have no recollection of getting home.

i am SO thankful for a GPS, but i even screw that up sometimes.

If I really like a movie, I can watch it over and over again to insanity without ever getting sick of it. Literally as a teenager, I watched the same 5 movies over and over again every single day for about 4 years. (The only reason I quit watching it was because the vhs tape snapped) ** added note.. I get into cycles where I can do that too. I was having a difficult time years ago at a job and finally I quit. The next few days, I spent every day in front of the TV, watching Blue Crush. Over and over again. Not sure what that was (insert armchair psychosis about feeling overwhelmed, blah blah blah) but I still enjoy it from time to time now.

Me too. Used to have one lifetime friend that I would see, but

I've had three important butch relationships in my lifetime.

Two of them I grew up with. Of those two, one passed away a few years ago (she was my closest friend during our growing up years at school: grade school, junior high and high school).

The other was my closest friend at my family's church (she and her partner live in Kansas). We're still close friend's to this very day.

The third butch lived in Germany, but years ago she took on an new role with her company (Axel Springer Publishing) in Poland, where she met a wonderful woman and they eventually became partners. She's also the butch who gave me the nick name, Kätzchen. We corresponded for years, daily, where we met on the former Dash site. Some of you here might remember her by her screen name there (BlueeyesBerlin).

I miss all three of them, but I'm grateful for their enduring presence in my life. I'm especially grateful for my butch friend in Kansas because she and I know every single thing about my life, as I do hers. In fact, my mother knows both of my close butch friends from both school and church. BUT, she's my longest living butch friend and she's very wise.

If I am going somewhere which requires concentration or considerable length of time being seated I take along some candies. I find that they help to not only pass the time but to get through the meeting/event. I just have to remind myself to not chew them as it can be a bit loud lol. :blush:

I do not understand why I should be expected to be adept at sales/marketing (when job hunting), accountancy and other financial skills (dealing with pensions etc), and why I should be offered choice of which administrators to pay (all of whom offer confusing pricing schemes that look to me to be no more than attempts to confuse and dupe people) in order to continue to receive the same stream of electrons from the power grid that I'd receive if I paid some other bunch of admin folk.
