They can go so many different places with this storyline now. I think they freed themselves from having to copycat the first series.

Okay. That's what I thought, but like I said, I never followed Kirk's history much. But I didn't think that was how he had died. And Yes the Uhura relationship was fascinating. I actually liked Kirk in this one a little.
