40th birthday - changed my makeup and started a strict skincare routine, also got my first tattoo
50th birthday - I'm not sure yet

People have been telling me for years, "Oh, when you're such-and-such an age, you won't care what people think about you any more." I have found this to be true in some ways and not in others. I still care what people think about how I look; maybe it's superficial, but it's how I feel. On the other hand, I don't care if people think I'm superficial.
When i hit around 45 i realized i didn't give a flyng fig what people thought of me anymore. I still won't leave the house without my hair fixed, and the small amount of make-up i wear every day. Oh and since i moved to the desert, moisterizer is my consant companion; But, those things make ME feel good and keep my confidence level up.
