The Shat! It's your day!
On March 22, 1931 the world was graced with the birth of the original "Made of Awesome" guy, William Alan Shatner.
That's right! Today is the 80th birthday of the Shat! I became a fan during his beauty years as the original James Tiberius Kirk:  Maybe he first caught your attention during the early days of toupee experimentation, and TJ Hooker - look at that amazing rug!  Or perhaps you came to know The Shat in his later, aged, bloated - but still fantastic! - Denny Crane, years:  But the talent doesn't end there, The Shat is a true Renaissance man, including the breeding and showing of both American Saddlebreds and Quarter horses, playing on the World Poker Tour and passing a kidney stone in 2005. All that is in addition to his musical career! One of my personal favorites - part song, part dramatic reading - Elton John's Rocketman. Happy Birthday Shat!
