I enjoy sunsets & long walks on the beach ...If only you knew how serious I am when I type this lol. I am 22, a Pisces. Originally from the District of Columbia, nooo, not that Columbia. Washington, D.C sillies hahahaha. I consider Charlotte, NC to be my home as well although I don't really see much of either one anymore. Since 2008 I have been kicking ass and taking names in the United States Marine Corps. I love being a Marine. It is one of the few things that make me happy in life.  |

Welcome to the Planet, Euniique!!! Glad you made it here and I want to tell you how much I admire your courage in being so open and honest with your presence here. We've all been paying quite a bit of attention to the situation with overturning DADT and I don't think there's a one of us here who isn't 200% behind our GLBTQ brothers and sisters who are are currently serving and who have served proudly and worn the uniform.
  I, personally, served as a Woman Marine from 1979 - 1981 (boot camp pic is in my gallery here), and was medically retired for health problems. I absolutely loved the Corps and am, to this very day, immensely proud of my service and my Corps. Young courageous Marines like you let me know that we passed the baton well!!! There's a few of us Marines on this site, too, so I think I can speak for all of us in telling you how happy we are to have another Marine amongst us......and one still in uniform!!!  Semper Fi to you, and know that you are, truly, in the company of Family. ~Theo~

I have a great deal of respect for service persons. Though I myself never served in the military my ex was a Marine ( or should I say is a Marine). Cuz I'm sure you know once a Marine always a Marine. Right?! My grandson has joined the Corp. He just graduated high school. He goes to Pendleton in Dec for bootcamp. Though I am definitely concerned for him being deployed to War, I am very roud of his decision to serve. May Spirit wrap you in protection and love and deliver you home safely.
