What lie did you tell today?

It has come to my attention (cough-cough, only from me) that we are in need of more evil fluff threads, so I figured I'd start my lie thread again. All I ask is that no one comes in and says that they didn't lie today (I never understand why people do that on threads and it irks me to no end.) or that they never lie. Such a lie will not be tolerated here

. Lies are like farts. They average about 14 per day, no matter how small.

Sooo what lie did I tell today? My mom called me from my hometown of Ohio wherein she still resides and within the conversation accused me of not liking Ohio. I said, "That's not true. I love Ohio!"

(really just the most popular ice cream chain there which is thought to stand out because it has more butterfat than most ice creams).

If so, I lied continuously for about half an hour this morning.

Tried to call into one job so I could do an interview for another. They didn't go for it... So today is my last day and no one knows yet.

Lied to myself about why I had a stomachache last night. I said to me "everyone gets an occasional stomach ache sometimes" which is true but ...... (read on below)

This was my feeble attempt to ignore the fact I had eaten a foot-long meatball sub with onions and lots of bell pepper yesterday afternoon AFTER lunch (not telling what I ate for lunch) and continued my own smack down with 2 cakes from the vending machine and I WILL NOT admit how many tootsie rolls I consumed after that. I honestly feel it was tootsie roll quantity that blew my doors in because last night whenever I thought about a tootsie roll, I turned green.

I was a liar, liar pants on fire! LOL!

FEEL GREAT THIS MORNING and so grateful to be back normal.

Totally. That's lying by omission and I do it all the time with customers.

Today, hmmm........I'm sure I have.

um, i was mostly truthful today except at work one of the calls i got, i told this lady i'd send her claim in for review and we'd get back to her in 30 business days, and she said that was "bull," and i completely did not get upset and did not change my tone at all and kept going on like she hadn't even said it and i ended with "thank you for calling (insert insurance company's name here)" even though i wasn't thankful at all.

(but i'm proud of myself for not letting her meanness get to me, i'm starting to get better about that.)
