How did you find JOY today?
There are so many things to be grateful for in life. Each day is a reminder that no matter how dark the night, the sun will always rise again in the morning. It’s essential to appreciate the simple joys of life because they are what makes life worth living.

Today my joy was dropping a card at the Police Department for the Officer that answered my 911 call the night my Mom died. I am so ever grateful for the care and concern he showed that night. Makes me really realize the Officers are more than just keeping the peace.

I was able to place a homeless female Veteran into permanent supportive housing. That was a long time coming for her.
I was able to find laughter with co-workers after a long hot hard week. I visited my father in his nursing home and he said some things that showed me that he still remembers some important things about our family. He's such a mystery right now but sometimes is so grounded. |

My joy yesterday, her and I had a really great day! We both have been there for each other some serious stuff, so yesterday was a great stress reliever.
A visit to a Mexican grocery store. The other day she surprised me when she told me she made homemade tortillas. I'm like, you did??!! So we are planning a dinner now! Then we went shopping to fill bags for the food pantry collection on Sunday. Stopped for lunch. Hmmm, Mexican food. Is there a theme here? Lol We shared a wet burrito. With afternoon Sangria. We thought we were going to go home and take a nap, but we keep on rolling. Off to bowl. What a blast!! 5 games with cocktails. Wait, still not over..we stopped for sushi. The entire day was pure JOY, for me and her!

I spent a lot of time over the weekend working on the house I'm buying and it's really starting to feel like home again. I lived in the home (rented) for 10 years but haven't lived there for the past 4 years and the energy really changed in there. I've scrubbed, saged, and aired the house out. Now I've been spending time painting, burning my favorite incense, and playing good music in there and it's feeling really good again.
