I get a kick out of playing Naive at first with strangers when they assume I'm very young {Campus LGBT center director kept saying it would be difficult for me to Mingle, most are 18, stick together, being 23 would be slightly difficult...I shrugged and said, "I'm not a cougar, nor am I cruising, besides, they were probably in pampers, if born at all, when I had my first kiss" }

When I'm in a really rotten mood, I'll watch Psych. Thrillers, or Slasher Horror to feel better.

-I think first and feel later (this is a double edged sword)
-I sometimes come off as unemotional when in reality I feel things quite deeply I just don't show every emotion I feel when I feel it.
-I am SUCH an INTJ (this should explain some of the above)
-Although I am quite comfortable comforting someone who is upset when it comes to people who live their lives at a high level of emotional reactivity, I am at a confused loss as to how to deal with them.
-I am working on the above, but sometimes it feels like learning another language, a non romance language

1. I think lists should always have bullets or numbers, and I work hard to sometimes form ones that dont.

2. This is not one of those times.

3. I am more confortable with things I know, to the extent, that I am still listening to the same music I was in high school, and it takes me a long time to add anything new.

4. I really HATE to be alone, especially when I am working on things like cleaning.

5. I love airplanes, and if I could take a trip that required being on an airplane twice a year, I would be overjoyed.

The Andrea Gail swordfishing boat...I hope that one day some researcher finds the vessel (think of the movie "The Perfect Storm"). I love that movie. It is so well done. It reminds me of the Titanic.

When I was a kid, I used to do a lot of things with one hand. My father was missing a hand, and I was always curious about how he managed - so I trained myself to do things with one hand to see what it was like. He always found it amusing, but at the same time, it (and he) taught me to be grateful for things we don't often think about having.

I really can't wait for our veggie garden to start growing. I've developed an obsession with Mare's homemade salsa.

I used to love adding sugar to my coffee (or cereal). I no longer add sugar to anything I eat or drink and find myself actually enjoying the miracle of Equal. (But I haven't given up my Pepsi....yet....)

I have an obsession with lights. I've recently lined the driveway/walkway with solar lawn lights and spotlights, and will soon be working my way into the yard. I love all things solar.

The next door neighbor has the most adorable bulldog. I want to steal him. (But, I won't, for now....)

I never wanted a pony, wanted to play the guitar, or marry any rock stars. I thought Barry Manilow was sappy, and I didn't wear makeup until I was an adult.

I'm easily embarrassed and usually think that I had something to do with any problem in my vicinity, even if it had nothing to do with me. It's a kind of perverted egotism....

There isn't a day that passes that I don't think about money: how to pay bills, how to have enough to retire, how to do the things we want to do.

Having my kids grow up has been unexpectedly sad for me. My daughter graduated from college on Saturday and I was taken by surprise by my sadness.

When people in my neighborhood (who I don't even know) have parties, I always feel a little hurt and left out. Crazy.

I have a texture issue about food.

I am the youngest in my family

my fingers have just started developing the age related creases on my finger tips. I find them fascinating and think about all the wonderful things my hands have experienced over the years to have been awarded these creases

if I see a penny on the floor I always pick it up..even if its on the street as I am crossing. Its a thing I have with my God. I promise to value all money, even the lowly lost penny if I am to be promised never to be without money..it works and not always in the most obvious ways..

I wake up to birds every morning..as the dawn breaks and the light begins to slide into the sky. I dont always get up. Sometimes I just listen and then fall back asleep..

3 pairs of shoes is plenty for me.

I love my binoculars to watch Hank & Honey, the squirrels outside that I have taken on as my own furkids. I feed them daily.

I grind my teeth at night. I have a night guard, but my 3 cats are fascinated by it. When I have my night terrors, seizures, or talking, and it cames out of my mouth, they have pounced on it. I refuse to get another one.

I would like to get a Sound Soother from Sharper Image. I wore the last one out. I love it and highly recommend it.
