Even favorable circumstances can't force one to do something one doesn't want to. Used to emphasize that you can make it easy for someone to do something, but you cannot force them to do it.

"Fist to cuffs"..................

To come to blows with someone! A fist fight.

Sidebar: The word "fisticuffs" dates back to the early 17th century, combining "fistic" (related to fighting with the fists) and "cuff" which (still) means a punch. Fisty cuffs became fisticuffs.

To be nonsensical. To be very energetic. Sometimes used to relay a person is fibbing. This is similar to "Full of Hot Air" kinda sorta!

Sidebar: Now again my mother had a somewhat similar idiom she used but it was "There's Never A Road So Long Without A Curve" and her meaning was that tho you're sailing through life without any hardships or obstacles at some point you will without a doubt encounter some!
