The Ladies of the Outlet and their Drivers said they are pissed at
a particular group of staff folks that apparently 'would not back
off for 3 months' and that the result is all 18,000 employees
went down. This was their own personal words.


But.
We all know how most Corporations are.


And I just would like to see someone come in a keep the Brand
alive and re-open and run the operation proper like.

I bet another company picks this one up. Give it a week or two. When there is a public outcry over a national favorite brand, smart business people listen.

Profitable no. Hostess filed for bankruptcy in January, its second trip to bankruptcy court since 2004. It previously emerged from restructuring in 2009 after a four-and-a-half year process.

Reportedly, they tried to sell the company outright but there were no takers. Presume the union contracts played into it.

Now they are petitioning the bankruptcy court to liquidate assets i.e. sell the brands to other companies which have expressed an interest in them.

Happy day Dapper. Krimpets are made by Tastycake.

I had to double-check on line and it does not look like the Tastycake company is owned by Hostess.

I loved Tastycake Krimpets and Kandy Kakes as a kid. Kandy Kakes are the yellow cake topped with peanut butter and the whole thing covered in chocolate.

Good thing I would actually have to get dressed and go to the store to get them right now.

I hope I don't start fixating about them.

A lot of people don't take the time to bake, T-Rex, but there are still some that do. Trust me, a fresh-baked loaf of bread, still warm, still gets a lot of appreciation, in a household. It does take time, however, to make bread, and other baked products.

I loved your pictures on FB Mr. Day. I loved that you went to the outlet and talked to the people and told their story. My favorite as a kid was Ho Ho's. Loved unrolling them and eating them and spreading out the foil wrappers until they were smooth and shiney.

Ah my Mommy bakes all the time! The sadness for me is remembering being a kid in the 70s and getting a Ho Ho in my lunch box. Good times! I think the whole unhealthy thing is what did Hostess in. My kid has never had any of them except for one box of Twinkies we bought because I told her how I loved them when I was pregnant with her. Did not eat them before or after but I craved them when I was pregnant. With strawberries!
