was reading through these posts....and i must say in most things i prefer old or at least well aged..
![]() Wine is much better old....people are much better when they have a few extra years on them... relationships are better after the first 3 years of insanity have passed....aged cheese...potato salad always tastes better the next day....pizza the next morning much better,,,and why buy 1200 thread cotton sheets for 400 dollars when u can buy used 300 count for 5 dollars at goodwill and they feel just as soft? I prefer shopping at the goodwill to shopping at the mall, nicer people and the shirts already have that nice soft comfy feel...why spend 200 dollars at abercrombies for a new pair of jeans that already look worn..when i can buy em at the goodwill for 5 dollars? I love auctions...and have bought magnificent oriental rugs and turkish rugs with not s spot on them for 25 dollars,,so why buy them for 2400 or more; So I can say I bought them at Saks? or Paulsons? or have my neighbors ooh and ahhh when the delivery truck pulls up? No thanks I will take the 2300 i saved and furnish every room in a 10 room house with antiques and high quality used stuff......or use it to purchase that 1970 mgb that only has 41000 miles on it at the auction tomorrow ![]() My daughter is moving into her own apartment...two weeks ago..i looked on craigslist and in one day, 120 miles of driving and 4 stops....we had a sofa, loveseat, chair, end tables, lamps, and all of it matched and looked and smelled brand new....and all of it was for free.......so we spent a day driving from location to location...loading the truck... and 20 dollars on gas....for her living room furniture (the sofa, loveseat and chair were at 3 different places) If the truck had been bigger we could have gotten her a free tv stand as well. But we bot that at the auction (solid mahogany 1940's liquor cabinet) for 7 dollars,,,so for 27 dollars she furnished her living room and can now afford that giant 55 inch flatscreen hdtv......so I can come over and watch the closer ![]()
