*Deep Breath...
Went to work, opened every light in the building, checked the freezers, changed the weekly temperature grafts, turned on the televisions in each office, unlocked the all the doors and turned on the computers, made sure all Xerox printers were filled with paper, checked to make sure every machine in Endo was ready to go, pulled out all the scopes and turned on suction, went to in patient and checked to make sure they had everything they needed ordered until Wednesdays order, walked to PACU and did the same, turned on all the monitors, checked Ambi bags, got BP Cuffs ready and on, checked re fridge to make sure temps were good and didn't have a power failure over the weekend, walked to pre-Opt and turned on lights in each bay and monitors, checked Anesthesia cart and refilled missing items, walked into Decontamination and turned on sterilizer, washer, dry washer, beaded pumps etc, turned on anesthesiology machines, wiped down each room and bed, moved equipment to perspective rooms and walked down hall to check oxygen/nitrogen/notorious oxide room, then grabbed me a coffee. Welcome to Mondays, then had to create P.O.s and call them in.... Yes all in one breath... And I still thought that I missed something, and I probably did... ![]() |
