Fragrances You Love and Hate...

I love Chanel #5. I will always love Chanel #5. It reminds me of my mother, my grandmother, the elegant women of the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.

Yes, I know Dior, Balenciaga, Guerlain, Coty, Patou, Balmain, Ricci, and on, but nothing, nothing, speaks of elegance and sleek beauty the way Chanel #5 does...and that was my Mother, my Grandmother, and the absolutely breathtakingly beautiful women of their circle.

Sometimes I close my eyes and I can see them gathering in some room for some cause or other and I can totally sense that gorgeous shameless womanly fragrance. I miss them, and it, very much.
