Respectfully disagree. I live in flip flops year round indoors. Never out in any season. Anything with less coverage than docksiders is way too tacky.
The well dressed North Country resident is already prepping their winter boots and snow garments for outdoor strolls. So far, I've amassed only one new garment. A down coat. Last years boots, tukes, and scarves are terribly outdated needing replacement. It's enough for one's outerwear to become muddy. Muddy and faded or (horrors) ripped just would not do.
