I used to travel quite a bit, on the continent. I have tons of family in Canada, mostly in Ontario. Before 911, it was nothing to cross the border. Answer a question or two and you're on your way. Now you have to have a passport. I've been trying to get myself to do the paperwork to get a new passport, but so far I'm procrastinating. Right before Covid I was planning some travel. I can't remember if I've said this in this thread or not, but I'm handicapped and use a scooter full time for mobility. So there are considerations for me about travel that most people don't have to think about. Inside the U S, I don't have to worry, but a lot of the world is not accessible. Complicates things. I found this crip tour group. They had several tours they were qdvertising. Unexpectedly, as I had never thought of going there before, the one to Africa sounded awesome. I was talking to the tour group people getting it planned, and whamo bango here comes Covid. Kind of haven't planned any travel since then, sad to say. Well, I've gone places in Florida, but not outside. Thing is, my friends are all coupled. Being a third wheel is not my desire, so I always have to go alone and I am not a big alone person. I'm running out of steam, so I'll say goodnight. This post is pretty long, anyway. Smooches, Keri |
