brought you joy

But I realized later I
was the joke you
were laughing about.

heard you crying

And I hurt myself
trying to comfort you

but you looked at me
with disgust.

One time I thought
you were listening to
me

And I told you a secret

But you used it to
judge me

One time I thought
you were my friend

And I told you I cared
about you

but you said we were
complete strangers…

then you spit in my
face
