What's Happening in Austin

I wanted to let Y'all know that Ms. Tabitha is having surgery in the morning. It seems she has 4 herniated discs and so they are going to replace them with cadaver discs. The process ~ while the best way to go about it ~ is tricky: they will make an incision in her throat between her esophagus and her carotid artery, push her esophagus to the side and slide those suckers in there.

She'll be at St. David's North (12221 MoPac) and be there until Friday. She'll be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks (read: Ensure, puddings, soup, liquified grits, etc.) and off of work for 12.

I'm going to the hospital in the morning and stay until it's time for sushi (she knows I have my priorities!), so I'll keep Y'all posted.
